I had to repatriate a load of classic childhood items/rubbish tat recently when clearing my parents' garage. Wife has bagged my USS Enterprise. Haven't a clue what to do with stuff like Steve Austin, Bionic Man. He's a bit tatty most of the bits are missing, but I can't chuck him. I'm wary of just loading stuff in boxes for my kids to throw out when I die, but.... A lot of people would appreciate those. Take some pictures and I might even interested in some tat

2.7 / 10. Not worth getting nostalgic about that.
I do remember it also spawned an animated series that ran on Nickelodeon in the UK. It wasn't anything special. It was something you'd idley watch while waiting for something better to come on.

The height of humour in junior school for a while.
All I really remember is OCD about trying to collect them all. I'm glad I was way too old for Pokemon when it started.

Awesome apart from the complete lack of Captain Bucky Ohare! You know it was a good theme song when you can still sing it word-for-word 40 years later despite not hearing it for that long as well 😅

I actually started rebuying the re-released FF books. As someone mentioned earlier the new covers are crap, but the actual stories are still really good.
I'm both surprised by that and by how little I actually remember of them all! 😅

You know it was a good theme song when you can still sing it word-for-word 40 years later despite not hearing it for that long as well 😅 I know I was too old for it at the time but Arthur is back on the CBeebies section of iPlayer and when I put it on for my boy I somehow knew every word of the theme tune. Which, to be fair, is a stone cold banger.

Loved Deathtrap Dungeon. THe other one that stick in my head was Island of the Lizard King, just because the art was that epic.

Yeah, after seeing that Deathtrap Dungeon cover, think I might get an Island of the Lizard King, as I really liked that one as a kid. Think there was a skeleton cover one that was good too. Have to admit to never rolling a dice though, I just selected a random number...
//edit... second that rawshark
//edit... City of Thieves!

Think I'll pick the collection up when I get back to England at Easter. Amazon has the first 5 for 35 quid.

I’ve heard the name but it’s either not of my time and passed me by.
I think I would have loved them though. They are charmingly grotesque.
Edit - re Garbage Pail Kids.
Good lord this is a fast-moving thread!

YOU MEAN LIKE THESE BAD BOYS? BOOM! There they are. I'm glad someone treated them with the respect they deserved and kept them after all these years. Yeah, my mum! I'm convinced she has an issue. There are so many wee bits of shit from cereal boxes up there - all still in the delivery boxes Sadly, i took the wraparounds and binned them when I got home. This was just before christmas as well

The absolute best thing about Bucky O'Hare was that he named his ship "The Righteous Indignation". I think we're generally of the age where we're old enough to fondly remember Bucky O'Hare, but too old to have really given a shit about Biker Mice from Mars.

Now I'm reminded of other anthropomorphic cartoons. Sharky and George CRIMEBUSTERS OF THE SEA!, The Adventures T-Rex, Samurai Pizza Cats which was just awesome and SWAT Kats.

I went looking for my first motorbikes and seen the price and soon stopped thinking about it, bastard classics now and with a nostalgia boosted price.
