But also Jet from Gladiators in dominatrix gear giving tips as "The Games Mistress"... so mostly good. Hmmm. Interesting. I don't remember that. I'll have to research that. For science of course.

Not a fan, it came on a Sunday when it was TV that made me depressed that school was the next day. Yeah, toss that into the bonfire of the Countryfile theme, Adrian Chiles' sign-off on MotD2, the sound of the ironing board being set up, anyone saying "what do you want to do with the leftovers Monday", any mention of Monday on a Sunday whatsoever, and any other bastard reminders of 'HAHAHA! WEEKEND IS ALMOST OVER NOW, SERF' stuff. The Sunday night "Shit, I've not done my Geography homework" dread sounded like Antiques Roadshow, Heartbeat or Silent Witness.

We’ve done mostly kids stuff so far so how about you’re off sick, you’ve got some Lucozade and an empty ice cream tub nearby just in case. What’s on the telly? How about Win, Lose or Draw? This episode even has a pre-fame Johnny Vegas as a civilian contestant competing under his real name My memories of having a sicky day from school was having to watch Pebble Mill, or Sons And Daughters. The cream though, was an afternoon watching Henry Kelly with the Euro excellence of Going For Gold. If it was a morning off school, there was Win Lose or Draw, Chain Letters (with either Tom O'Connor or a young Dave Spikey.) or towards the College/Uni days of no morning lectures, Supermarket Sweep.

Fuck, Pebble Mill. That takes me back. I'm remember visiting the studios a few times just because you could back in the day. That and Granada Studios which was a good tour.

Was that the one where there was a glass window at the back and you'd always have a bunch of people making funny faces through the glass?

That show's reminded me of a video game show hosted by the same host of Win, Lose or Draw on Sky in the 90s. I remember Speedball by the Bitmap Bros being one of the games they always played. That would be Games World. Lot to like about Games World. It filled a time slot five days a week (although the interactive day was always shit). It combined video games with the popularity of pro wrestling to create a very watchable “end-game” that you’d look forward to every week. Will the winner of the heats be able to beat The Violet Blade? (T3 editor Rick Henderson dressed as a pirate). The tips and reviews nights were pretty good too. Although it did also give us David Walliams. So not all good.
Loved Games World! Genuiney always preferred it over GamesMaster

One of the best bits of the Gamesmaster revival was the return of Big Boy Barry, now with Little Lad Larry.
Shame that didn't lead to anything.

Seven bloody pence... And you know I had those spokey-dokes on my bike. Cheaper and waaaay more actual crisps in a packet than what you get now. It's interesting but downright disgusting how we pay more for less more and more.

I commented to my wife just this weekend gone that I couldn't believe a bag of crisps is now £1.
Take me back to 25p for a Mars bar, 30p for a can of Coke, and 15p for a quarter of cola cubes or bon bons please.

Whatever happened to Wrigley's Juicy Fruit? I remember it used to be everywhere, and a go to for gum at school. I haven't seen it in forever.

They keep killing my favourite cereals before they have a chance to kill me.
Sugar Puffs, Golden Grahams and Kellogg's Start are all gone. Golden Crackles were my absolute favourite as a kid but I think they got discontinued in the 90s.

I didn't even know Sugar Puffs had gone. They've really cut his wings by making the Honey Monster promote wheat puffs.. for shame.

Ricicles were top dog when I was young, then I aged up into Golden and Cinnamon Grahams being my favourites.
Now I am old and broken I have a slice of Marmite on toast that my son always asks to have the last bite of.
