It's basically a fairly simple ARPG. I'd say it doesn't manage to stand up to the previous ARPG by the same company. Still decent visuals and soundtrack. Too long for what it has too offer. I think a 6/10 would be fair.

Pretty long and extensive first person explorer with slings, bows and crossbows and a few other weapons and tools. Fairly difficult and lots of falling off of things, usually to my death. I would be more enthusiastic about it if it focussed more on the landscapes and exploring and less on bossfights, swarming the player (sometimes both at once) or falling off of things (sometimes all three at once). Pacing took a hit towards the end and it's also maybe a few hours too long.

Yes the gameplay is largely wandering through a series of scenes whacking everything, but it's so incredibly British and charming that you have to be happy games like this get made.

Enjoyable enough but a classic sequel where they think more is more, was so fucking boring in places, should have probably lost an entire third of the length really. If they make a third I'll likely play it but similar deal, wait for PS Plus.

After being a big fan of the original game back in the day, but dubious about this very late sequel, especially after being underwhelmed by the demo, I waited for a 20 quid price drop to buy and play this, putting my System Shock and Trials of Mana playthroughs on hold.
35 hoursish to complete all map markers and the game with 45/52 trophies, or 9p% (somehow).
I played in 40FPS mode and performance and graphics were reasonably decent with a few hiccups. Nice view distance and varied open world map and the jet pack was more fun than I feared. The story lived up to the cheesy charm of the original even if it isn't particularly original. Voice acting was defent enough for he main characters but worse for secondary ones, although everyone is voiced. A few minor text and audio dropout bugs (saved by subtitles) and one weird bug where I lost all double (and above) jumping ability until I restarted the game. Music is also good but not quite as good as the original. Fun to play and you end up being quite nimble and powerful by the end game. Overall I enjoyed it but nostalgia for the original probaly added half a mark. Enemy variety is a little lacking with some recolours but wasn't a major problem.
I also did a playthrough of Varney Lake but not counting it until I do a few more. Need to get back to that, Trials of Mana and System Shock remake. Progress remains terrible, will I manage 15 games even?

A game per month is not a bad haul. I have slowed down too. Not to mention that half my games are really short or replays of older titles. Without those I’d be nowhere on this challenge.
Having said that, I’ve just this moment finish the first Mario Rabbids game again. Still got the challenges and extra mini-world to do, so there’s probably another 5 hours of play left. If not more.

Tricky one this, there were lots I really enjoyed but a good amount I really did not! my main frustrations were around not really knowing what I should be doing next and not fully understanding how to use the scene changing mechanic, at least not for a long while. I did like Saga and had no problem spending time with her, but of course Alan was the draw, and I liked the narrative. The 3 dlc vignettes were ok, the stand out for me was the biggest fan one. I am looking forward to the next dlc.

Second completion of the day!
One of my favourite COD campaigns, not that I have played all of them. The atmosphere and setting are excellent and the mission variety is also very good. Still suffers the issue of bullet sponge enemies (even on low skill level) and respawning enemies until you reach the next checkpoint, but this was not a big problem. I will not touch mp as I am awful at it!
7/10 based purely on campaign and within its genre.

For me it's too many medium and long games right now. Well, and simply staying with some of them longer than needed for a playthrough. Working on a really long one right now and haven't been able to get back to the Far Cry 2-replay for a while.

Top-down tactical RPG with some light strategy elements. It did perform very unevenly with audio distortion to go along with it and it was often pretty much unplayable. I ultimately found no solution, so I was at the mercy of the game randomly deciding to not have another inexplicable fit on any given play session. It also was much too long and the encounters starting flowing together long before the end. There is also a post-game, but I'm very much done with it at this point.
Edit: La La Land is a pentalogy of five little experiments with simple controls and surreal content. Made in Game Maker apparently. At a moment's notice I can't make much sense of it.

Surprisingly fun FPS gameplay even if the many massive bullet sponges can get annoying at times. I mostly ignored the story, which did definitely improve the experience. But I have never liked any of the Wolfenstein stories.
