Favourite memory is a bit hazy but it was a comments thread where randos were begging for CD keys for something and we just kept taking the piss posting absolute bollocks and they believed it.

My favourite memories were anything connected to Shadow Gangs and that gamecritic.co.uk bloke. I’m not even sure if it was the same person? Vaguely remember talk of hugely entertaining spreadsheets and stuff, wish I could remember it properly.
In terms of the actual website content which is what they are on about, lord knows. Was Outside Xbox etc connected to Eurogamer? That genuinely used to be a good time.

When there was a distinct divide between the forums and the front page and the WTFAY comments from people when the forumites invaded the comments section. The "Zoids Vs" comments thread was gold... but that may be my memory painting rosy pictures. Winning an OG XBOX from a compo on EG and actually recieving it. CodeMasters compo i think it was. Getting a sweet AF House of the Dead Overkill tee from the Sega Community rep on EG. Still have it, it almost still fits me  |

Only prize I won from EG, other than the friends I made along the way obviously..., was some music sequencing software. I played about with it for a day or so and then came to the conclusion I can't sequence music to save my life.
I did have a chance to go to Montreal as the EG community person to see Rainbow Six Vegas 2 but I could never get any definite timing from Ubisoft's PR and things were tricky at work so I had to turn it down. Still wish I'd gone but I had no real choice. Maybe I could have told them how shit the end of the campaign was but I doubt I'd have seen it on the visit.
Also, bring back Rainbow Six like that not Siege.

Oh wow, the groups. I'm still not sure if it was a good or bad idea but i was in some fun groups and a ton of pointless ones.
The odd few games we had of Solium Infernum and my only ever sock account, [someone's Cat], damn it's been years and i forget who's Cat i was and why i made a sock account to tease them with it. I forget their name but they were unanimously considered by the EG Massive to be one of the nice people.
Fek, that's gonna annoy me now.

One of mine was the time EG reviewing some janky RPG and the entire community descended upon the comments and there ended up being some mad guy who make a YouTube video where he just seemed to say "Eurogamer foooooooo, foooooo"
I can't remember the name of the game however.

(My other genuine great moment was doing a preview of the Nintendo Wii ahead of launch with Peej and Kay, who still frequents here, in this house Nintendo had decked out as a promo type place for journalists and such. We got to play Wii Sports and Zelda with motion controls. I remember thinking wow it was cool. Really interesting seeing Nintendo stage manage the whole thing too.)

One pretty epic night after one of the Earls Court Saturdays had a bunch of us, including Rauper, going on a bit of a pub crawl before ending up in possibly one of the dodgiest bars I've ever been in, it was the only place still open. If you imagine a bunch of pissed up nerds walking into the local equivalent of the Mos Eisley cantina that we think was owned by the Russian mob getting even more drunk while the regular clientele seemed to enjoy the entertainment that we brought.
There was some fat bloke with a Zippy t-shirt amongst us, I remember it clearly because it was me.
