Wolf Hall back in a week this Sunday. Looks superb.
Never watched the original though, hope it won't matter.

season 2 of The Diplomat on netflix from tonight just got a glowing guardian review.
I can't really remember the first season beyond that I think I liked it and that you'd be wise to keep a rolled up newspaper to hand in order to bonk any civil servants in the family whenever they say "it doesn't work like that", or "civil servants aren't always that sexy"

Ha, I had to turn off the one with Robb Stark having an affair with the Home Secretary. Awful depiction of a minister's private office.

You won't get to bonk many civil servants in the family if you call them 'not sexy'

The Diplomat's first season started poorly then ended so fucking stupidly I don't think I can be bothered watching the second.
The massive Union Flag on the side of the carrier was bloody hilarious.

but sexy civil servants whizzo. SEXY. CIVIL SERVANTS.
they're largely US civil servants so they have good teeth
watched first ep this evening (and the S1 recap, because I can't remember) - it's silly, it's turn it up to 11 and rip the knob off. It's better than than The Bodyguard
SEXY. CIVIL. SERVANTS.

“Spank me with the ‘British Poultry Production Statistics (2021)’ report” probably pushes someone’s buttons in a niche audience.

The Christmas schedules are starting to appear. Heads up on a couple of items so they don't get lost in the Christmas hubbub
Inside No.9 The Party's Over - Documentary about the series Cunk on Life
and from kids TV, an animation that sounds interesting Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures

The one time of the year in which we get one of those old fashioned TV mags which covers Christmas and into new year. It's become an odd tradition of getting the highlighter pens out in the hopes that they still work.

I have very few Christmas traditions that I still stick too, but having the Christmas double issue Radio Times is a non-negotiable.

My mum makes me laugh, she had a free one with a newspaper but loads of slots where marked tbd

I tried to watch it about 10 years ago, having missed itnthe first time around. It was shit. I prefer Motherhood with the one that was in Line of Duty. That made me laugh more.

I did wonder why in the 3 episodes we never saw various people from the opening sequence of the show. This probably explains that. Good news.
