There is a bug with the matchmaking currently where players with the highest skill rating are matched with people with the lowest safety rating 🏆

Yeah, I got mine in one of the early races. It was what woke me up to the metagame of optimising for those zones in practice, and obviously the race sectors too. Sort of fills the gap where the Gran Turismo license challenges live in my heart, albeit inline with other activities.

My achievement tracker for that is at 95%, so I guess I got ridiculously close to it...
This hasn't really gripped me yet. Did the opening few races and then bought a BRZ and took it through a couple of races, but don't feel the urge to come back to it and just watched TV instead last night.
Arcade racers are clearly more my cuppa.

I’m enjoying this. It is of course, much drier than Horizon but it feels like they have firmly defined what differentiates Motorsport from Horizon.
I like the practice and it really helps with bringing down those sector times. They are brought to the fore and nailing them is a main part of the fun.
On series X the in car view (well one of them) works really well with a functional rear view and wing mirror that help.
I’m looking forward to longer races with tyre wear and damage.
So far so good.

@frog - yeah, that was my thinking when I started it. Don't want to commit to another 20+ hour game so close to Spidey, but with this at least I could just dip in alongside it.
Might just squeeze in something short like Amnesia: The Bunker instead, or even have a week off gaming...

Oh. Disappointed I can’t do the Featured Rivals without buying a car for 200,000 credits. I thought Horizon loaned you the specific car.
Edit: oh wait. I can rent the E-Ray, but not the X-Bow.

Just remember that Forza 7 arrived with loot boxes and shitty cards to use per race, even if it seems a slim choice it's better than last time.

I'm enjoying the limited time I've spent with the single player so far. I really like the pre-race practice sessions that allow you to gain car XP and get your eye in. The racing has been really competitive too. My main disappointment is the graphics (Series X). I know it's a tall order to achieve the anal levels of detail present in Gran Turismo 7 - particularly the car models and paint reflections - but I wish Turn 10 had at least taken the car and road reflections present in Forza Horizon 5... I think the cars in Forza Horizon 4 might even look better. Some of the weather effects and scenery looks great, but I don't think there's any getting around the fact that everything looks a bit flat. Cars and roads don't sparkle (HDR would have picked out these highlights beautifully, like in FH5) and black levels are massively raised. There's a complete lack of depth to the contrast. |

Anyone else having issues trying to save tuning setups for vehicles? Feel like I've accidentally bought the same one a few times as nothing appears in the 'my tunes' after purchase.
Also had a nice bug earlier where some crafty twat was driving a car about 3 classes above everyone else in our restricted A class event.

The Mazda featured multiplayer races are so good, they've got crazy grip so it leads to very close racing

I'm definitely having the most fun with a full mp lobby and lower class cars. Full wet race in E class cars was a laugh and I got a win in the little BMW 2002. Did help that someone else was streaming the lobby so everyone was relatively well behaved and there wasn't too much hijinks from other drivers.

I was way ahead in my first online race then my soft tyres' grip fell off a cliff and I end up 6th, I'm not even upset by that, thought it was really cool.
I'd be up for some Fontgeek endurance races (30-40 minutes long) if we get enough people interested. Thorza Thursdays?

Aye it was a private lobby. Only briefly caught it being set up but it looked quite customisable. Seem to recall it was a team race too but there wasn't a great deal going on in the UI to even suggest you were in a team race apart from colour coded nameplates. Also, I'm definitely down for some FG lobbies. |
