Thoughts on the structure of online races? So far I like it. Some time to get used to the car / track combo and then some flying laps for quali. I seem to then spend a good bit of time waiting for the race to begin, but I suppose that depends on when you join the session. The flow is nice though.

the only thing that's a bit frustrating is that you can't upgrade your car when in multiplayer - so if it's a new car, you keep levelling it up but then face cars at higher (or max) PI. When it's stock cars it's nice to be able to flow between races.

The (I think?) mandatory practise laps are a bit of a pain. Feels like padding and should be optional. If you set yourself to the back of the pack by the time you fight your way through you’ve not been able to stick rigidly to the practice lines anyway until you’re ahead.
Graphics and atmosphere are quite special. Some brilliant lighting and weather effects.

I think they've taken hints from iracing and ACC for multiplayer and I'm glad they did personally.

Had a fun couple of games in the multiplayer this morning. First one in the touring car series - placed first in qualifying then proceeded to mess it up a bit and ended up coming second in the race. Second race was in the GT series and placed a very poor 18th out of 20 in qualifying and finished 16th. Decided in the second race to try out the hard tires and see if I could get to the end. On the 8th of 9 laps I felt the grip going and at that point it said I had three more laps on them. Then I spun off (was in 9th at this point) and it now said there was one lap left on them but it was impossible to keep it on the track so had to pit just before the final lap. So it ended poorly but was a lot of fun.

Yeah, the drop off on old tyres is insane. At this point I wouldn't run race tyres on anything under S2 (or go medium and pit halfway). Hards seem pointless, softs for quali if you do go race tyre.

Not had them drop enough to make a pit stop worth it on a nine lap race. Pit stop is what, 20 seconds all in? Even at half way the gain would need to be 5 seconds a lap?

Anyone else think the MP options are a little sparse? I’d quite like to give a lengthier race a go, 20 or so laps. Atm max seems to be 9?
Maybe they’re keeping the number of races down until the general release

I'm noticing on pc when booting the game it randomly doesn't give me DLSS, it will have FSR in the options instead, a reboot fixes it.

I think it's seen more as the dlc pass with added bonus, than a price just to play early.

As a diehard bonnet cam man, there's something that really throws me off when i'm turning a car into a corner when the mirror image across the bonnet surface shifts from one direction to the other. It's like I can't quite get my head around how much my car is moving around. Never experienced it until Forza Horizon, I guess as the image quality has increased over the years. It's so odd. It's never bothered me before this game, but fucking hell the second race in the yellow caddie or whatever it is was so disorienting! Might have to pick a different view after that. |

No, it's because all you foreigners come over here with your VPNs and use up all of our Forza so we have none for ourselves.

I had the same thing in the latest Crew. Normally flit between dash and bonnet in these games depending on the car, but holy shit the shifting reflections fucked with my eyes and made me feel sick. |

Had some cracking online races so far. I seem to come between 9th-14th out of 22ish cars but some really good battles and most people racing properly at the moment .
Anyone actually managed to save a replay and it actually play though ?
