I don't think much of our animal welfare is all that great especially their end of life care so think about that the next time you're digging into to your steak from Sainsbury's.

More banking bollocks.
Paid my credit card off and they’ve still taken the Direct Debit so it’s now in credit.
I don’t have time to sit at work trying to get through to their call centre. Grrrr.

Just cancel the direct debit with the bank. One click of a button

Got new some socks for Xmas, I keep getting my toe stuck in the internal weaving.

I have socks I don't wear because of that.

No chance. Ideally they should slide on using one hand. In fact, I saw an "Old Man Test" this morning (thanks YT algo). You stand on one foot, bend down to pick up your sock, put it on still balancing one footed, same for the shoe/trainer. Then swap feet and repeat without touching the floor with your raised foot.
Fail and you're an old man.

^ Maybe the prevalence of toe socks is the reason Japan has so many old men.

I probably would've miserably failed that test a year and a half ago. Regular walks and exercises like calf raises and wall sits have massively improved my balance.
These "age" tests are a load of bollocks. Same thing with the sit to stand tests, which are more of a general fitness test than anything. There are probably 70 year olds out there that can do them with less effort than me.

I’m sure you can add the next few purchase amounts up to something close to that specific amount over time

I prefer to have my direct debit set to minimum payment as a backup instead of full amount, then jump on every week to pay off my balance. Got caught out once by missing my manual payments, so best to have it there just in case.
I find it keeps me more in control of my spending if I'm paying it off weekly. Definitely not in a rush to go back to a maxed out credit card ever again!

I bought the wrong cheese: Swiss instead of Edam. It's because the packet is the same colour. Probably stoned in the shop too.

Why the fuck would you intend to buy edam? The chewier wax of ... wax.

It's good for sandwiches. What passes for cheddar here (it's just called 'Tasty' cheese, seriously) is too crumbly and weird tasting unless it's melted.

Your standard cheese selection here is very odd.

Edam is cool in Babybel form but as a sandwich cheese not a go-to. Still passable if no other option, and our kid enjoys it so sometimes that’s what’s in the fridge.
Swiss/Emmantal is beautiful. It’s a milder taste than Cheddar for sure but is different enough to be its own thing. It also maintains its integrity really well under partial melting. Great for burger topping.

Where do you get orange Aero bars from these days? If I want the regular chocolate, the mint flavour, the honeycomb one or that new hazelnut one, I can find them pretty much everywhere but I only ever seem to find the orange one about once every six months?

Aldi have an own-brand version. Not sure how close to the original they are.

Love me some edam on crackers but it has no place in a sandwich imo. King of cheeses with crackers etc is Comte. Cheddar for sandwiches/toast obviously.

Comte makes my mouth go weird. Too intense. Prefer Gouda these days.

Waited 20 mins for the tube to restart before giving up and heading back home, only to find some fucker had dropped a stinky fart on the exit stairs.
