I *think* my self-destruct code is 206713.
Total n00b question, some 32 hours into the game: how do I make sure my Environmental Protection Suit is active before I head into the Reactor core? Is it passive, or do I need to activate it manually?

The power ups down the left hand side need to be manually activated via the inventory on the ps5 version. Its a bit poo but this is how you do it photos.app.goo.gl/9JDggTzX8MYdML4T8 |

Left of your inventory. You’ll see four icons. Click the bottom one.
I’ve realised that I’ve not cleared out the reactor properly. Just unlocked the med bay. I’m all set.

Predictably enough - seeing as I did the levels in an ass-backwards order - I had the right digits for the code, but entirely the wrong sequence.
Got it sorted in the end, though, and now I'm getting spanked in Security.

It’s going to take a bit of doing. Going to take my time again and enjoy it. It’s crawling with bastards but my trusty assault rifle is keeping them at bay. I still think the soundtrack is superb. Possibly one of my favourite gaming soundtracks now.

This is the stage of the game at which I come to regret not having made space in my inventory for the powerful weapons (railgun, assault rifle, etc.), and not having upgraded the weak-ass weapons I *do* have, right?

Also, I take it back: the Cyberspace section in *Security* is the fucking worst. I actually didn’t find it as bad as some others. Smaller and concentrated spaces for fighting meant it was over quite quickly. Security down to 0% in, erm, security now. Think I’m nearly through with the place. Been a bit tasty at points. |

I will have to get back on this, but bloody dark souls has got me again. I'm up to the point where I can farm the large club and have the strength for it now.

I've got security down to 0%, and finished the Cyberspace section, but I still haven't worked out how to get into the central tower in the big open area.

This is what happens. Once Dark Souls gets its hooks in… Not sure about the central tower either yet Uly. Just reached the detention cells before I stopped this morning. Why, yes - yes, it is. Not sure myself. In the original game, the uber powerful weapons (Railgun, plasma, etc) were pretty useless. The Magnum and Assault Rifle, and maybe the Skorpion for truly difficult situations, would carry you to the end and then some. And because I'm a complacent player, I've never even tried those weapons in the remake. Inventory space is tight anyway so I prefer to keep around more reliable weapons with plenty of ammo around. |

Assault rifle and magnum are my current go-to. Railgun and rapier for particular situations with the scorpion for general weaker enemies. Didn’t like the shotgun or plasma gun much and the pistol has been rendered obsolete.

wunty That's what I figured, but the door was still locked! I have a vague recollection of an audio log that mentioned installing a chip of some kind, so maybe that's the missing piece of the puzzle. I'm planning to finish it tonight as well (unless the final boss fight is a total pain in the dick).

Then again I've forgotten 98% of this game so far so that's not a surprise. It's awesome though. I do like how it's not stingy on the ammo and health front any more either. It ramps up the encounters, but makes sure you're equipped to deal woth the big bois. |

The only thing of which I'm short is the Berserk Combat Booster. I used two of them in the second Diego fight - one for him, and another for the sexy cyborg ladies who showed up immediately afterwards - and I've already popped another on the Bridge, to help take out the Cortex Reaver.
Otherwise, I'm sitting pretty.

I used my last one on the reaver as well. Second last one was in the maze of security bots along with a reflex booster so I could run around screaming and chopping them up. I think I'm out anyway. If I have any left, it'll be one. Iirc, the last fight: takes place completely in cyberspace |

The final boss has been changed with the big update. It's way better than last year, still pretty easy though. But I guess it's better than having a supremely annoying last hurdle to overcome, at a point when a player just wants to see how it all ends.
