It's a shame as the underlying game is good. It's just everything else surrounding it is designed to give you dopamine crashes.

With the release of M Mobius in a few weeks that will probably balance him a bit. He can be countered and the matches not been too bad so far. He will prob have his energy increased a 4-3 or something.

I'm playing substantially less, and haven't felt like giving them money since maybe March or April.

I think the kicker is how they've fucked with card acquisition. The only real route for me now (without spending cash) is the Spotlight Cache which are supposed to guarantee you a chance on a card you don't have.

It was galling, it takes ages to get to one, but fair enough: guaranteed new card.

Then they started putting exclusive variants in there. So now there's a fairly high chance that I'm going to get a variant on a card I already have, rather than something new that I might actually want.

So that killed the collection aspect dead for me.

I've finally deleted the clutches of this game. Was playing close to 3 hours a day for the last year.

Realised I'm not having fun with it anymore and not liking the addictive aspects of it. Was like giving up cigarretes again lol!

See how long I can last.

I'm not on 3hrs a day, but probably an hour on most days. Always do my daily missions at a minimum.

I'm up to 9,577 CL now, and have all but 12 cards. Over 23k Collector Tokens too so could shrink that quickly if I wanted (but don't feel the cards left really fit in any of my decks).

I was getting a bit bored of it, but the recent update to make suggested decks from a starting card has added some spice to it all. I generally get back up to level 100 pretty quickly - either in the first or second week of each season - and after that am less fussed about my rank.

Once I hit 100 I usually start experimenting with some other decks. I find it mixes things up nicely, and gives good insight into how others play.

Looks like they have some good new game modes coming soon which should help, but I they are going to run out of ideas for new cards at some point so will be interesting to see what they do then.

I've also only ever paid for the Season Pass once - the new cards seem to work well for a month before all to often getting nerfed, so they don't offer great value. The new weekly drops of cards from Spotlight Keys are enough for me to keep things varied.

Still not won a Infinity Conquest though.

Yeah I could see an addiction pattern forming so had to quit it. I think I'll stay away from these types of games in the future. It's a shame because I'd like to play something like a roguelike game based on the game play.

Still playing - and still getting enjoyment out of it, though I find I need new cards a lot less, with some really good reliable decks built out now.

New features seem to be good, so if anyone else is still playing I could setup a FontGeek Alliance
