I hope it opens with us charting P Heads childhood. Football in the park. He dives to head the ball. POP. Cut to a dejected Head walking home, the ball still deflating on his great geometrical bonce. He goes to pet a dog that runs up to him, but stabs it in the eye with one of the lower corners. He finally makes it home and hits his head off the door frame, again. His dad shouts at him, asking him what took him so long, he needs to use his head to wedge the car up again because he needs to change the tyre. It'll be so affecting.
That's before we even get to the next day at school, and all the cruel "Pee Head" jibes thrown at him. Poor little bastard. No wonder he ended up tangenitially configuring himself as the subconscious part of a strange man's guilt and chasing him through a fog laden town whilst fucking other creatures composed entirely of manniken legs. Could happen to any of us. Be kind to each other.

Location: long, dark corridor, the walls defaced with occult symbols, written in blood. The doors leading off of the corridor are warped and twisted, seemingly now made of barbed wire, rather than wood. No escape here.
Suddenly, you hear it. Something heavy scraping along the industrial grate that was a carpeted floor but 5 minutes ago. Something metal. Something sharp. From around the corner ahead, you see something, like the top of a metal beak, emerge.
Then the lights go out.
The noise, it's coming closer. Suddenly, light. Just for a moment, enough to see the monstrous form before you. The metallic lines of the pointed cell enclosing it's head. The apron, smeared with blood. The wolf-lean lines of its massive frame, and the 9 foot blade it drags along behind it, like a small child dragging their favourite teddy bear.
The light goes out again. Darkness. The metallic wail grows louder with each passing second. Now you can hear it's short, pained breaths, and smell it's foul stench. The smell of death.
The light overhead flares into life. It's a foot away from you, staring. If it even has eyes. The muscles on the arm holding the blade tighten, but then fall loose, dropping the weapon. It slowly, excruciatingly slowly, lifts its massive hands to the torture device atop it's body.
It raises it, with grunts of both effort and pain, and drops it to the floor with a heavy clang.
You raise your head slowly, morbid, terrible curiosity compelling you. This will be the last face you will ever see. You finally lock eyes with your tormentor.
It's Vinnie Jones. He says "It's Pyramid Head, bitch!"
Scene fades to black.

I would rather the PH section is about Pyramint Head than whatever they are making. The observer game had some really shit stealth sections (not sure they fixed in the redux version?)

I just can't conceive of a Pyramid Head focused addition that would have anything to offer, at best you get some Bloober brand walking sim nonsense.
Combat? Well, that's out. He's around the top of the Silent Hill food chain, having any sort of effective resistance against him would just make him look weak and not like Pyramid Head. A contrivance that takes all your gear and powers Metroid style doesn't really work for a guy who is mainly identifiable for supporting a large metal pyramid and dragging along an implausibly large knife. Take it away and you're playing as a guy wearing a potato sack for most of the duration, plus I don't think you can give him a face. Bloober Team would be massive cunts of the highest order if they did.
Maybe he could work his way through an upgrade path of various substitutes. A Tesco carrier bag on his head and potato peeler to start with, then he can work his way up to a traffic cone and fruit peeler, and so on.
Is Pyramid Head a puzzle solving kind of guy? Probably not. He's certainly a raping kind of guy but I don't know if anybody has the balls to make that a game mechanic or even feature it these days. So, that leaves walking from A to B looking at things with a character who doesn't have anything to say or do, because close up scenes of Maria getting punished again and again probably won't fly in this incredibly uptight political climate.
This all sounds so utterly shit Konami have to be green-lighting it. It's the predictable current day Konami move.

Don't think the political climate has got anything to do with anyone not wanting to see a character abused up close over and over
It has always been my belief that he wasn't raping those enemies in that scene anyway. On account of him not having a willy and displaying James' sexual frustration at not being able to sleep with Mary. He just ruts against them, gets frustrated and kills them. It's definitely sexual violence but not rape

Games have got way more violent and graphic. Hot Coffee was a huge controversy, now it's a feature of games that you can shag everyone. Blashpemous is all about people being abused and punished. Cyberpunk 2077 has a fair bit on the subject of the sex industry and abuse as well. I'm sure there are other examples
I don't remember ever seeing Maria being shown to be physically abused in Silent Hill 2 anyway. Not sure what you're referring to

I doubt it. It's the crux of the game. It's unavoidable. If they were worried about that, why pick that game to remake in the first place? None of that stuff is used for shock value or to illicit emotion for the sake of it. The game is legendary even now and I'm not aware of it being reevaluated or looked upon in a different light

I was reading an old Retro Gamer magazine last night about Climax Studios efforts on PSP/Wii/PS2 etc. And it mentions about scrapped plans for Pyramid Head in Origins. The proposed backstory was that he was a butcher gone mad.

I've always found it ballsy that when being given the opportunity to create a new entry in the series, they went straight for an origin story
