Well, I don't know: I've not played the games. Well she’ll be a very big part of season two.
I appreciate that a good number of you have, and are excited for what's to come, but perhaps we can use a little bit more tact when it comes to talking about future events? It worked out OK in the Game of Thrones threads – mostly.

Shivs are the best way to kill clickers, as it's quiet. Joel wouldn't equip one to use as a normal weapon in the first game.
They're also a one use "lock pick" on certain doors.

I am enjoying the show a lot but I think I'd enjoy it more if I hadn't played the games I was saying this to a guy I work with today- I haven’t played the games, and I think I’m enjoying the show more because of it. All the comparisons I keep hearing here and elsewhere just make it sound like the TV show had too much to live up to, and it was never going to completely satisfy hardcore fans of the game. Especially when I hear people (eg my coworker) saying Bella Ramsey is playing Ellie a bit too jaded, too naïve etc, I’m just like- would you really be saying that if you’d only seen the show, or has the game made it harder for you to take the show on its own merit? Also I don’t feel like I’m missing out on fan-service things you normally get in game to TV adaptations. Maybe I’m mistaken, but I don’t see clickbait articles saying “Here’s all the blink-and-you-miss-it things hidden in the background of ep7”, it doesn’t feel like that sort of show. |

You're mistaken, there's a whole cottage industry that's been made for almost every game site about references to the game, a million fucking recaps like that just writes the entire episode like you're a fucking moron and every hot take under the sun about xyz in the show being problematic/sexist/triggering *delete where appropriate. |

Part 2 needs to be watched after episode 8 not part 1, it's not about an episode dissection either, more the process of how it was made into a TV show, presumably part 2 has massive spoilers for episode 8.

Derblington, my comment is not aimed at you directly, yes your comments about her age are included because ultimately whenever I've read comments about Ramsey and they're ultimately either about her age or her how she looks and frankly they're all fucking weird and gross, I'm not implying that you're gross btw. Yes I know what you meant in reference to her age in regards to the fact that you don't think someone who is 19 now will be able to sell playing a 19yr old for S2 where she'll be probably around 21 when it's released. We obviously disagree here and you're entitled to your opinion. And no I don't think I'm super clever, far from it actually but it's just a shitpost do, you should try it some time. Hug?
