I used to think there'd be no third game but can see it, now.
NB - I don't actually remember how the second one ended. Latest thing I can recall is that massive storm and maybe something on a boat?

I think Druckman has mentioned that he's been thinking about it.

This is very good.
I do wish films/tv wouldn’t do the lighter struggling to work thing though.

Yeah i don't care if they add stuff. I felt that was a really interesting, logical change. It would have worked very well in the game!
Referring to the horde.

Great episode but I’m really not a fan of the shaky camera work which made me feel a bit queasy.
I understand it’s a technique to make you feel part of the action, but aligned with the high definition image and frequent use of digital backgrounds, I found it really hard to focus.

There are some horde's in the game though. In the first game where you're wandering around you get to a point where you've got to get under a shutter that isn't open straight away. Cue pissing about with levers and ropes or whatever it is you need to do, and then a horde of them come running around the corner. Scripted, but still quite pant shitting and you only just make it etc.
So the museum horde seemed to fit with me in that scenario

I recall there being about 3-4 different points where it could have ended, so I'm sure you're not the only one who can't remember!

There will be another one I'm sure. 2nd ended in a way that another one almost has to happen for it to wrap up nicely. I imagine Ellie will try to complete her "destiny" of being the one to provide the cure for everyone. Also seeking out her girlfriend etc.

This is very good. I do wish films/tv wouldn’t do the lighter struggling to work thing though. There was a point where I saw that they were at first struggling to use the lighter then having to fight to the infection that was taking over making them not use the lighter.

In the unlikely event there's no Part III there's still the multiplayer game that could feature some aspects introduced by the TV version.

Did they actually introduce MP to part II properly? I remember enjoying it in the first but there was a lot of "yeah maybe we will" for the second

I think it's one of the live service games that Sony said it was releasing, having Bungie on staff will probably help in that regard.

The MP from the first was the closest Sony got to having Gears multiplayer on the console. It was great.

Yeah MP was great, and so tactical. I was still very much into competitive gaming when the original came out and played in a few tournaments for The Last of Us.

Theres enough changes so far that maybe they can justify remaking the first game again for £70

Yeah that was great, I'm just pleased that they seem to have done it justice.

Like Ratchet & Clank (2016) was the game of the movie of the game.

Yeah the mp was epic, one of the best I've played after first ignoring it. Can't remember who I used to play with off EG but we made a pretty decent team. Greg and a couple of others, won most games.
Anyway I'm so happy with the TV show, I watched ep 2 last night and it's fantastic on every level. Zero complaints and that's surprising as tlou is pretty much my favourite game so I thought I was going to hate it.

I gotta say I thought the practical effects work for those specific infected was great. The sound effects still shit me up though.

Just caught up with it. Good episode but I'm not sure it really needed the "all connected" thing. And I'm struggling a bit with Ellie. It's just not as good a performance as the game and her face is really distracting.

Bella Ramsey has been fantastic, I can see why everyone involved in the production has been heaping praise on her.

I must say, having played the game to death, I'm not feeling the tension as I would first time. It's very, very well done but I'm not "invested" in the same way I would be watching something that's new to me.
I found the opening to be the most actively enjoyable part and am more looking forward to seeing Bill's story than the stuff I've seen before.
Think this is the first time I've properly watched something so closely adapted from the source material.
