I'm genuinely more excited for SF6 but I'm just glad to have so many quality fighting games coming out, especially big ones. It's good for the genre.

I usually love playing as the Mishimas, Paul and Marshall Law, but out of the videos above I'm most excited about King. He looks great King always used to be a bit of a hulking brute but now they’ve changed him up to be a Luchador he looks absolutely excellent. I mean, he was cool before but he really looks much cooler now. Sadly his moves likely mean we won’t get Armor King though. Maybe as DLC? Anyway there should be a new trailer dropping today. The two remaining characters to show are Lars and Jack 8. Not super interested in either of them tbqh but let’s see how it goes! |

I was hoping they'd show Hwoarang or Bruce/Brian Fury. I'm sure Armour King will be dlc, there'll be a lot of different season passes if Tekken 7 is anything to go by.

All the characters look pretty good so far, I'm more interested to see how balanced some characters like Nina will be considering she can pull out guns as part of her combos. Guess it's no different from having to deal with Jins laser. More curious at this point to see what the new characters will be, if any.

I'm always fond of old, hard-as-nails master type characters, like Gen Fu, Wang or Gen.
I know technically Heihachi must be old, but he doesn't fit the bill.
Hopefully there's a character along those lines.

That’s definitely Lars.. er still a bit dull IMO.
Just Jack left now - and maybe Jun. FYI all of these characters (except Jun) have been shown before in gameplay demos in some manner.
Hopefully we get a new announcement at evo Japan. So far the only “core” Tekken fighter we’re missing is Yoshimitsu at this point, so IMO he will be next. Excited to see how absurd he looks this time!

Never liked Lars either. He fighting style is fine, it's just his appearance, particularly his hair. I know that's weird, given I like Heihachi but I just loathe him on sight. Also fighting in a big heavy coat like he does when he's supposed to be fast looks ridiculous. No less ridiculous than Bob, a very fat man being very fast or Kaz and Jin turning into devils or Panda, Roger and Roger Jr and Kuma, you know, actually existing in a fight tournament. But yes Lars' big heavy coat is where we draw the line here. |

In a game of space ninjas and literal devils, I think Lars is just too anime for me. Same goes for T7 newcomer Claudio.
In terms of other T7 newcomers, would be great for both Lydia and Leroy to return - excellent designs IMO.

No matter how good the graphics get I always find Tekken to be a really ugly looking game. Think it's a combination of the art style and the weird animation. The shitty 2D looking impact effects are the worst though.

I thought Tekken 3 looked amazing for it's time and it still looks great today, Tekken 7 has aged but it still looks good, well apart from the low Res Xbox version It goes without saying that I think 8 looks the tits.

I like the look of Tekken 7, however there are some questionable costume choices - Jin has his jeans tucked into his boots, for example!

I don’t think the lars trailer is a great demo of the graphics. Fighting games really shouldn’t have people wearing trench coats because they always look terrible in motion.
