Gil to Sevilla on loan.
If Conte is gone in the summer hopefully whoever takes over actually gives him a chance.

MOAR Brazilians for Forest. Felipe from Atletico is done, and they're apparently still after a Brazilian playing in the MLS and a teenage wonderkid from Santos. Must be that yellow and blue away kit luring them in.

I get twitchy if I think players will be unregistered on FM, 2 weeks before deadline day. This lot are nuts.

650 million spent by Chelsea if the latest one goes through. Not seeing much of an uproar in the press strangely.

With eriksen out for a while it would be nice if we could loan in a high end midfielder from somewhere. The thought of scott getting first team football again is already filling me with dread

A good insight into exactly what's still happening in boardrooms up and down the land to this day

Arsenal doing superb business again with Jorginho.

We've had an excellent window. If we sell Jack Harrison to Leicester before the end of the day it will end on a very sour note.

Arsenal doing superb business again with Jorginho. Hmmm really? Past his best, hasn’t been playing regular football for ages, high wages, different profile to the player they really wanted. Could work out but it’s a bit ‘could go either way’ as opposed to ‘superb’ for me.

He's not even that good at penalties any more.

With these Chelsea players, I dunno what has happened. Like, did Jorginho, Auba, Sterling, Mount, etc's quality just drop off a cliff overnight? Or is the club the issue?

Age/not giving a fuck anymore accounts for most of them dropping off, and Mount was overrated in the first place. Also I’m convinced the club has developed a bit of a mercenary culture over the last twenty years or so. It’s not a club that kids dream of playing for one day. It’s a club that attracts players with a certain mentality and mindset. Might just be my lens though.

It's a bit of a risk, but 18 month contract is what I wanted to see - depends on if he got a pay bump too. In theory, he's good cover but form appears to have dropped. If Arteta can get him back firing, then fine. What it does do though is give us more cash to play with in the summer.

They are incredibly reliant on the full backs for chance creation, and long term injuries to Chilwell and James have really hampered them.
Mount isn't the quality they need, but is by far the most creative midfielder they've got so he's irreplaceable but they should replace him.

Chelsea fans have been saying Jorginho’s legs have gone for a while. And I don’t think he was ever the most mobile in the first place.

He didn't sign a new Chelsea contract because they wouldn’t pay him £150k a week so I’d say it’s an absolute certainty he’s getting at least that.

I think the constant managerial turnout speaks to that too.
Its not about finding a Fergie, Wenger, Klopp, Pep or anyone else who might head a project, its about getting as much out of the players as possible before they switch back off.
As much as it was a team of horrible dickheads at least Mourinho’s first run had a core of players (Cech, Terry, Lampard, Drogba) who were invested in the club. I don’t really see anyone who you’d truly identify with the club in that way anymore.

Doherty on loan to Atleti. Odd one that with Spence also going on loan. Leaves us short at RB despite signing Porro. It’s the Conte way I guess.

The good thing with Jorginho is that there's a clear aim - win the league. That's how the transfer will be judged.

I just saw about Doherty. I think it makes sense. Conte seems to rate Emerson above him and with Porro signing he'll get about as much game time as Spence was getting.

He's temporary cover, obviously the best we could do in the window. Hard to get too excited but he is a quality player. A winner etc. Also not a rapist as far as I know.

Sending out both our proper RWBs means we really only have one player that suits Conte’s system now. Also Doherty could play on both sides. I mean again, Conte is gonna Conte and that’s that. We better hope Porro really is all that though.

He's not a winger, not a 10 and not an 8. Reminds me a lot of Oxlade-Chamberlain (and for some reason) Kieran Dyer.

I personally would have sent out Emerson out over Doherty but maybe there were no takers. Having 3 players for one position seems overkill to me, but I take the point about left sided cover.
