DougsJoint third with Zinchenko as far as I can see (Jesus on £265k and Partey on £200k). Again given the pay dispute at Chelsea I really doubt he’s coming to you for an extra £10k. Short term low fee transfers often have a high wage attached. It’s not going to break the club. Would be absolutely astonished if it wasn’t £150k. I think the question you really need to ask is why wouldn’t Chelsea pay him that.

Doubt we'll get Harrison from Leeds, given we've just got Tete. But having Souttar effectively means we have a proper functioning backline again (in front of an absolutely shit keeper, admittedly).
I'll take that positivity and pray we stay up

He's temporary cover, obviously the best we could do in the window. Hard to get too excited but he is a quality player. A winner etc. Also not a rapist as far as I know. He was Chelsea's no.5 though.

And as I say, does mean we can push for Rice/Caicedo in the summer.

Oof. I know everybody raves about Casemiro, but Man Utd without Erikson could really struggle.

Fuck me, that could be really bad without him. Should have been looking for a substitute in Jan anyway so of course this had to happen.

Could have got a red for it alone. And then Ince's interview afterwards was a shocker too.
Annoying because Eriksen is so important to us and nobody else in the aqud can perform the same role.

Terrible challenge, still a portion of the fan base now blaming ETH for playing him despite the fact that this could literally happen during any game. The problem wasn't playing him, the problem was the big fucking fat legged wanker throwing a terrible tackle in on him because he failed to control the ball. He knew what he was doing, should have been a straight red.
Oh well I guess "Let if Flow" is great though. Thankfully all these good attacking players are going off with long term injuries, a small price to have "our game back".
It's a horrifically small minded and stupid policy and the lack of intervention in both that incident and the Ferguson one at the weekend is woeful. They need to get their act together and stop being so blatantly stupid.

Yup. It's amazing it doesn't happen more often. Ramsey, Diaby and Eduardo all feel a long time ago but nothing has changed. When you have a player fully expecting a red, you know something is wrong.

It's been made crystal clear (long before the window opened, after the summer's spending) that we won't be spending any more serious money at the moment, so I doubt very much that has changed today.
I imagine that Fred will probably play next to Casemiro.

I'd even be surprised if serious money is even spent in the summer, unless there are new owners.

Eriksen out until late April/early May. Tielemans is still available, Mancs Genuinely I think Youri's chance has gone, for a "big" move. He's basically been available for 2 years but there's not really been a sniff about him. He's a brilliant player, in flashes and would suit a Europa/ Europa 2 squad but he's not top 4, sadly. Not quick, not physical but has the old worldie or Pirlo pass in him.

I honestly don't know what Mount is. He's not a winger, not a 10 and not an 8. You could also be talking about Havertz here.

Also linked with Chelsea as apparently Fernandez is off (as previously, Benfica won't entertain installments).
Suppose it depends on what Bayern want from him and whether he wants to be derided by fans whilst trying for 4th or 10th.
Be impressed if we can do that.

Sounds like it. Has been punted around anyway Yeah. No Arsenal link, presumably because he's more an 8 than a 6 and not really the profile you're looking for, although I think he'd have suited you if you were.

I think ESR will end up as our 8/Xhaka replacement. If he can stay fit. But if we get Rice, he might do that job first.
Looks like Lokonga is going on loan to Palace. Needs to play really - positionally, he's been suspect so having Vieira school him would be good. This is the danger in picking up younger players in more defensive positions - if they don't play, they don't develop. He looks good on the ball but a bit lost off it. Still leaves us light though - Caicedo incoming?!

Dougs I have to be honest, I thought he was destined for great things when he broke into the 1st team. I appreciate he's been injured, but presumably he'll get more chances. You have managed to poach someone...

How's Fabio Vieira working out for you?
Haven't seen a lot of him, but I imagine that's not really a negative reflection on him.
