If he escapes six months without a sacking then that’s abracadabra.

Premier League fixtures have just been published www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c299yn7335roWe’re playing everyone twice starting with Southampton, Bournemouth and Spurs in August. Need to hit the ground running really when September is Fulham, Wolves and City.

There's really no positive that can come from all this crap. It's the equivalent of the dreaded vote of confidence. He's basically dead the second results start getting scrappy. They wanted to fire him and shit themselves because we won the FA Cup and now we'll be back to square one by Christmas. They've been really poor as part of the ownership so far. I think if the team is playing respectably and in a coherent manner up to Christmas he's fine. If they're not he's gone. Both of which are fair enough. I don't really get the argument that they've been poor, that seems massively early to say. They've barely had time to get their own management team in place above ETH. They're not beyond criticism, of course, and I get criticism of the decision to interview/speak with others though I would personally say that was probably prudent I do understand the counter argument. I will judge them a bit more in summer 2026 if things haven't improved.

Brighton away followed by Liverpool at home in the third game. Things go badly and ETH could be under pressure before the end of August!

Yeah I agree. Much rather play City early on. Just hope we can hit the ground running, and avoid any Euro injuries!

Yeah that post International break, Spurs Away, UCL (potentially away), City Away week could be absolutely brutal.
I guess it does get (arguably) our two hardest away fixtures done nice and early and the trade off is an easier run in. Still, not hard to see zero points from three games. Especially if the Brazilian lads have to travel immediately beforehand.

After Klopps continual moaning about the 12:30 Saturday kick offs they give Liverpool another one straight away, great trolling there.

Newcastle get Villa and United in the week between Christmas and New Year. That could be problematic given how bad we tend to be through the winter.
Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton is a big way to end the season too.

You'll get to be the club who finally flushes Everton, at least. Safety

I like that the bit about taking the piss out of the legal case comes right before a big list of all the punishments he’s received as a result of losing the case

Wasn't sure before, but now I'm convinced he'd fit in well at Arsenal.
Where the hell did he get that estuary accent? Just checked his bio to see if he'd been in our academy or something. Very impressive.

Villa signing Maasten from Chelsea. Great player. Will most likely mean Digne leaving.
Also Luiz off to Juve for €20m cash plus McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior.

I'm enjoying Everton and Aston Villa selling fringe squad players to each other to cook the books for PSR

Apparently Uefa have blocked United signing Todibo from nice (CB) because of the multi club ownership stuff.
Haven't city, wolves, red bull etc all been at this for years with no issue?

Is the objection that the owners have given themselves mate’s rates on the transfer fee?
Bit unfair of them to single United out when its literally how some clubs do basically all their business. Unless those other clubs have fiddled the paperwork by having each club owned by a different relative/shell company and UEFA are pretending not to know what they’re doing.

I'm enjoying Everton and Aston Villa selling fringe squad players to each other to cook the books for PSR Can we get in on that? 😡 Sure the motivation might be PSR but there are real transfers between non related parties with the usual long term consequences of transfers for both sides (amortisation up and wage bill up). If it helps both parties that's just being clever and finding legit solutions. If I've understood correctly this buys time more than anything else. Not that anyone here has made the direct comparison but I don't think it harms the integrity of the PL like the related party stuff does.

Ouch. Bit harsh, given he kept Forest up in difficult circumstances. But yeah an appointment that I suspect neither Leicester nor Forest fans will be happy about.
I suppose I should change my avatar!
