If you're already here on holiday, sure. But It sounds from the reports as if they came just to do this and are going back soon after. |

I wouldn't even wait that long for Space Mountain let alone to shuffle passed a corpse. I used to think like this until I got into corpse shuffling. Once you understand the nuances it's super rewarding. I try to get to 2 - 3 funerals a month, diary permitting. |

So when we joined it was 28 hours and now they're saying it's 30 hours.
There was a ten minute period where the queue went bloody backwards and now there's rumours going around that a rogue queue somehow managed to budge their way in and Terry behind me (Mr car horn) is not happy about it at all.
I have now run out of cheese and pickle sandwiches. This is not looking good.

As an outsider looking in, I can kinda sorta understand somebody wanting to be there for this even if it meant a long trip. Most other highlights in England (or any country, really) you can go visit pretty much whenever, this is a once in a lifetime thing (yeah I know Charles is also old, it's not going to have nearly the same impact when he pops his clogs though)
It's definitely not something I would even consider doing unless I was already there for a trip though (crossing the Atlantic just for this is mental). And the whole song and dance of everything shutting down for weeks "to mourn" is crazy...

I think they got it all backwards. Rather than asking people to line up, they should be taking the Queen across the country like she’ the Olympic Torch. Winch her from a helicopter if need be.

I can't get my head around it. To queue for so long to just shuffle forward, turn to the side and have a wee bow / cross yourself, and then off to the exit. It's fucking nuts.
I did remark to the wife last night that the least they could have done was have her sitting upright and allow you to take a selfie with her.
