No way she's actually in it. Probably some corgis, or a couple of Andrew's victims.

Center Parcs has told all guests they have to leave the site for the day of the funeral:
Fucking insane.

I saw the coffin...on TV. Why queue for 30 hrs just to walk past it? Think her Maj is gonna thank you at the pearly gates?

When you join the end of the queue you get a numbered wristband (so you can leave the queue to go to the loo, and rejoin at the right place).
So what's to stop you getting a wristband and then going away for 20 hours, rejoining the queue just as it's about to go in?

That is just ridiculous.
I'm getting trashed on Sunday. I'll be spending the funeral being sick into a bucket. In memoriam.

Center Parcs has told all guests they have to leave the site for the day of the funeral: Fucking insane. Fucking hell. Naturally, they'll be refunding a days cost (about £300) for every single person this affects?

Looks like it, doesn’t help those that are there Friday to Friday (do they stay sometime else for one night?) and pisses off everyone else.
Complete PR disaster and incredibly stupid.

Well, that's something - I assumed that they wouldn't. But it's absolutely ridiculous. Like the hospitals cancelling routine surgery that people have been waiting years for.

Did any of the ceremony actually have to include the paedophile? Surely they could have just sealed good old Andy "Sans Glands" McFiddler away in a darkened hole somewhere.

No action against the other members of the public that assaulted the guy either? Right in front of a cop?

Cinemas closed. Shops closed. Petrol stations closed until the evening.
I suppose it’s good that those in the service industry are able to take advantage of a bank holiday.

It’s a closed casket on a fancy platform behind a rope barrier. Guarded by proper soldiers who will bayonet anyone who makes a dash for the coffin. I dont think they will have to. The peasant mentality has well and truly kicked in and the crowd will deal with them.

Even if the ‘fun’ things closed but accommodation was open then it wouldn’t be too bad, give a partial refund. Kicking everyone out is just insane.

It's an ridiculous own goal. I fully expect a U-turn tbh. It's one thing asking people to turn up a day late or leave a day early (which in itself isn't on at all) but another to expect people to leave and then return the next day, but no access to their accommodation until 4pm. Do they pack up and then unpack? Surely not...no-one else would be in it and it wouldn't be cleaned. As someone who pays the ridiculous prices more often than I should (because they're usually bang on), I am incensed on their behalf, just to avoid paying Bank holiday rates. Just allow people on site but with the bare minimum and no activities. What happens to those who have booked activities for the Monday or Tuesday? It's a monumental fuck up.

Edit - in response to the story about cancelled funerals. That is disgusting. I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been more push back and anger about a lot of the absurd elements of this mourning period, such as cancelled funerals, cancelled surgery and shutting down of protests.

There will be, it just needs to build up. Cancelled football has been U-turned but more needs to happen.
