For funerals I’d get them shifting the times a bit where they can, or asking families if they want to rearrange. I’d hope and expect they aren’t just telling families to fuck off, the queen is more important.

I'm not sure what's to be gained from all this shutting things. Is it so everyone can stay at home and watch the funeral on the TV? In that case why aren't the camera people not mourning? TV stations should be shutting down as a mark of respect. Lets go the whole hog. Shut the fucking country down. Right down. Power? Down. Internet? off. You want to breathe? In reality companies don’t want the PR backlash, don’t want to pay the staff bank holiday rates and they’re likely to be quieter than a usual bank holiday. No idea what we’re going to do with two young kids when everything is closed other than drawing and painting all day. |
