The day off isn't ideal, I mean I'm off that week anyway so no change for me, but the company I work for holidays allowance resets on Oct 1st so that's going to be a lot of min wage cleaners having to take an unpaid day because they made sure to use the days before losing them.

I can kind of understand the whole "I can't afford to switch off for one day, I'll just have to work" mentality. I was in that place not so long ago due to understaffing and absolutely terrible management. Just switch off and touch yourself. Trust me! |

Loud boos then Joe Rogan and DC laughed about it on commentary. Watch them act surprised and outraged when they see a whole bunch of jokes and memes about 9/11 in response. I did ask a bunch of Americans who were celebrating the queen's death on FB because their great grandfather once had a pint of Guinness if they'd be OK with people posting songs about plane crashes today. They didn't reply. |

I recently watched a (US made) YT video about what happens when the Queen dies and apparently us British can expect 1-2 weeks of national mourning where nothing is open and nobody goes to work and everybody wears black That's what happened last time she died. |
