I bought 3 on Switch after playing the shit out at it from launch on the pc. So yeah I imagine I'll be doing the same as will many others.

Yeah I had Diablo III on a variety of different systems (PC, PS4, XBOX One off the top of my head) and I bought the Diablo II Remake. Admittedly I didn't play the remake beyond on character through the campaign, but the third I played the arse off for a looooong time.

Second Capstone boss was giving me all the headaches. Specced into rapid fire and nailed it on the second try, then carried 2 level 60s through it (who spent 90% of the fight as ghosts) to complete my revenge.
Just missed out on a third Helltide chest because I couldn't find one. Sadface.

Ha! Perhaps stepping up to WT3 *and* changing to keyboard and mouse at the same time wasn't my smartest move.  Anyways - 4K (with some DLSS magic) and running at 120FPS with nary a stutter. Drag and drop inventory - I'm whisked back to my early 20s with the original game. |

It's even making me want to fire up my d1 rogue. I've got it backed up with atma. Must see what that looks like via steam thingy onto big telly. Probably shit, but sofa gaming d1 on a massive screen has got to be worth it

D1 was also released on Playstation back in the day. It even had 2 player option.

So the Mrs has had a small win on the Postcode Lottery. Kindly she’s splitting it down the middle. Could chuck £670 at my credit card or reduce that to £600 and get the bog standard version on XSX. Did enjoy 3 but not into the ‘end game’ stuff. Pull the trigger or wait for sale? This does look great, but am quite heavily into two games at the moment, a rarity (Boltgun and Dark Descent).

Torment is a bit disappointing for gear so far. Zero upgrades after about 6 hours of hitting Helltides, NM dungeons and some Whispers - I'd hoped that the step up to Ancestral items would be similar to Sacreds. My Nightmare build/gear was solid because I spent ages in there. Definitely worth trying to speed into Torment when seasons land.
The XP is good though, definitely levelling faster despite taking a while to get through some enemy health bars and the risk of horrible deaths from literally nowhere.

I've had some decent jumps on jewellery, helm and boots but I'm still rocking the same rattling bones wand that I picked up at the start of WT3. It was a stellar drop for me back that at 697 ilevel, 820ish damage and really good rolls. It has carried me and is still doing the business. I dropped a decent set of gloves that are crazy good for me with 3 ice shards and 2 ice armour with some other damage. Taken me 3 days to find something with the conceited aspect on it so I could replace my current pair. I've still been running WT3 and nightmare dungeons to start levelling some glyphs. Also helltides to farm the cinders and then jump onto T4 to spend them for the ancestral drops. To everybody else: Don't sleep on the glyphs, the amount of damage being wrought by this destruction Glyph is immense,I can feel the difference of each level. |

I guess the problem I have is that I don't really know *why* I'm spending time leveling up glyphs and whatnot. It's literally just making numbers go up, so I can do the same content to make more numbers go up.
And yeah, D3 was a bit like that too. But in that game, I was picking up cool items and sets all the time, and they felt like they changed a lot. And if I ever wanted to try out a different build, all I had to do was switch some items around and hey presto - different build!
But now I have to respec the fucking paragon boards if I want to change stuff, and that takes aaaaages if I've got a lot of points invested.

Settling into WT3 now. I'm holding my own against the rank and file, and one group of elites at a time doesn't trouble me massively. Two or more groups of elites and it's substantially tougher to survive long enough to count 'em. What's great is that, even against the rank and file, I'm having to really pay attention to positioning and skill rotations. Feels great - actually playing the game rather than autopiloting the game. I did have to luck out on a couple of Sacred drops to make it feasible though. It meant I sacrificed some Aspects that I'd been clinging to (for far too long) but adding another 4-500 Armour was the main difference for me. Damage output is OK, but survivability tanked when I stepped up to WT3. Whispers are a great way to incentivise grinding, and the Helltide is aggravating and elating in equal measures. I knew the game was dunking on me when the Challenge for getting 100 of the collectibles popped and I was holding like ten of them or something and hadn't yet opened a chest. Died more in one hour of Helltide than in the entire game to date! Getting those Sacred drops was so so so sweet though - hooks well and truly sunk in for the endgame now. I was reflecting that it all felt not dissimilar to The Division 2's endgame - and that was also digital crack for me for a while, so it's lifting ideas from the right sources! |

Started a HC rogue for one of the Xbox achievements and now I wish I'd picked one sooner! Great fun when you get some shadow imbue shenanigans going.

I'm doing the Twisting blades and when the stars align, nothing survives, but I'm still vulnerable at times. In fact, it's all about the timing but my pace is too fast for my current cooldowns. I need to chill a bit I think and take it a tad bit slower |

I've just discovered a bug with sorc focus. I want to swap my aspects around but I can't reprint the focus. It's not a unique but it's greyed out and my only resolution is to find a better one.
