Very variable then because I just did 90 minutes and it was plain sailing. I'm from Aus though, so I'd assume (fucking hope!) that we have different servers, hahaha.

Ah! I was living in China when Diablo 3 released, and I think I got lumped in as you probably are with Asia-Pacific. The performance was uniformly shite.

What level does my necro start being shit then? Currently level 51 and completed the main at level 48.

At Level 50 now and still mopping up sidequests before finishing Act V... I'm finding even in random dungeons, the end bosses are absolutely destroying my minions in two hits and then I'm Brave Sir Robin until Army of the Dead comes off cooldown, or I can somehow generate some corpses to resurrect the minions.
So it feels like I'm already going to be in trouble with a summoning build.

So apparently this is a thing (I'm unsure if this is a spoiler but I'll put it in tags anyway, it's basically talking about some really rare items)

The capstone was harder than normal wt1 stuff but doable if I took my time. This aspect I've got that heals you each second you have the momentum ultimate passive active is literally a life saver. I need the same for energy then I'll be rolling around for shits and giggles

Just started doing some nightmare dungeons at lunchtime. I did a T4 (o ky have low levels because I keep forgetting about them). Anyway, the buff it gave me was poison damage, I drop a poison pot when I evade.
I was really enjoying the playstlyle of dodging around more just to drop a poison pot and watching the DOTs tick away (sucker for a DOT build).

I just got to T4, with a bit of help with the capstone boss.
I know there's some new stuff to find now, but I still don't feel like there's much else to do with this build aside from getting higher numbers. Switching to a new build is a bit of a pain, unfortunately, so maybe I'll use the upcoming season as an excuse to try a different class.

I had a doctors appointment today so I had an early night unfortunately which means I couldn't play this.
So, sacred items. They any good?
And is the general idea to only really upgrade kit if you've got the best rolls and also not to rip the aspect off an item and instead store it for later when you do come across something with perfect rolls?
Or am I just theorycrafting too much here?

They always drop at your level, and I believe can have more affixes than regular items. I just mark regular drops for selling and pore over the stats of sacreds.
I'd say just crack on and imprint good aspect rolls if you find a good bit of gear that'll last you for a while. You get enough legendaries to not have to worry about it too much. Levelling is slow after 50 so you might as well enjoy yourself!

Nice one cheers, that's sounds sensible
I suppose as long as I keep an eye on cash and not get too low, I can salvage everything most of the time.
Though I'm buggered if I can find the mats To upgrade my bloody healing potion. That's doing my head in.

I'm right in thinking that if I stick an aspect from the codex on an item, I could also put that aspect on another item again yes?
So if I find some boots, put an aspect on it from the codex and then if I find better boots in 10 minutes I could swap the boots out and redo the aspect on the new boots yes?

So if I find some boots, put an aspect on it from the codex and then if I find better boots in 10 minutes I could swap the boots out and redo the aspect on the new boots yes? A codex aspect can be imprinted as many times as you like, gear item permitting. It'll always be the lowest roll possible. An aspect extracted from an item can only be imprinted once because it can have random rolls. Some aspects have static values regardless of level (eg 30-40%) or increase by 1 so can theoretically be used at any level. Some aspects have a scaled range where it'll be x (y - z) which increase with ilevel. Low levels my be 130 (100 - 150) but higher might be 1300 (1000 - 1500). Obvs you want the higher ones for end game gear. Be wary that some aspects will change the level requirement of gear so check it before imprinting so that you can still use it afterwards. Aspects imprinted on a 2h weapon have their values improved by 100% and on amulets it's by and extra 50% so keep an eye out for this when imprinting. Any scaled values will likely be better on a weap or ammy

Nice one for the detailed info. Yes, spotted that about the boost if its 2h or amulet, noted.
Good shout on the level requirements though, that's something I hadn't thought of!

Here's a question for the more knowledgeable diablo hive mind- so I am messing about as a necro (still hoping for buffs by the sounds of it). I have been rocking a shield to dodge/lessen damage, which i quite like, BUT would i be better off with a folio etc in the other hand to boost my magic etc instead?
How are other peeps rolling equipment wise?

You are supposed to spec a glass cannon and then come here to this thread to whine about bosses one-hitting you all the time on higher tiers.

Respec or just roll another Druid to try a different build? Seems like they want you to make another character.
Also not sure whether to just wait for s1? Don’t really want to burn out but still have loads to uncover on the map etc.

Is everyone's game running ok? I can feel a slight delay in everything I do or sometimes the button input doesn't register on the first try.

I'm getting serious withdrawal, I've been away from the PS5 all week due to work travel, and won't get to play until next week due to weekend plans away and then the wife's birthday. Genuinely want to twat some mobs...

I did an hourish earlier and got a few Legendaries, but I've had literally 2 Uniques since we did that dungeon run what, almost a week ago? Really hoping the season release shakes the loot up because nothing that's dropped has been an upgrade for at least a week now and I'm not exactly slacking in terms of playtime or what I'm doing to find loot -bar my Sunday to finish up the renown I've been hitting NM dungeons, Helltides and Whispers.

Ooof the rubber banding is getting worse and worse.
And yeah I haven't had anything of an upgrade in my drops for over a week, everything is either bafflingly ten levels lower than my lv55 or just lower stats that won't even make a difference when upgraded. The grind is fucking real.

Can only assume the drop failire is by design (see the crazy rare uniques), so seasons will pull us back in Godfather style with sets, better uniques (and far better drop rates and levelling).
Diablo 3 was a learning curve I guess, but they've managed to avoid the utter shitshow of the first 2ish years of that game initially so they're doing the slow screw instead. Season 1 really needs a step up though. I'm still enjoying it but my gaze will be swayed quite easily.

Aye, it all seems very calculated so far. The XP changes in the last patch have dragged me back in when I was drifting away, and will probably keep me going until the season starts.

The grind is fucking real. What are you trying to accomplish with the grind? How does the grind look in diablo 4. Is there a goal to it? I only did the story campaign in d3 and grinded in path of exile. So in poe the grind for equipment was to build character or currency/items for trade to build your character. Does it work similarly in d4?
