Got full renown in Fractured Peaks, Scosglen and Hawezar. Working in lvk 5 in Dry Steppes and 4 in Bottom-corner-stan.
Some of the locations on the map are fantastically thematic. I really hope they make use of this in the seasonal content, expansions etc. I can't help think that this world map would make for a really good regular RPG.
Followed a questline last night for Brother Dymos who wanted me to look for Curate Symon in Zarbinzet I believe. Really good story and brilliant ending location. Recommend seeking this one out.

Yeah most side quests are fun to do. I really liked the exorcist thingamajig in Kyovastan, but there are lots of good ones.

Not super enthused to max out renown, knowing all but statue things & wps are reset for season 1, but I guess if you don't intend to play seasons its not an issue.

Decided to try doing the tier 4 capstone dungeon for a laugh. And I almost did! But the boss is very hard once you get him below 50%.  |

They've already stated that some eternal progress will carry over to seasonal. S1 has got to be 'shipped' now so all changes going forward will probably be in S2 onwards.
I think an acceptable solution would be to carry all progress over barring a single area each season and just do renown in that area so it can rotate each time similar to helltides. It could be that scosglen for example is besieged this season and you have to help the people where you can. Partake if you like or skip it if not bothered.
Easy bit of reusable content, and it would prevent it being a slog.

If they changed it so that every activity contributes to renown for that area, then it wouldn't be as much of a slog. I'm fucked if I'm hunting down statues and grinding side quests and dungeons all over again!
I still have a tiny bit of renown left to do in dry steppes and even the promise of some extra paragon points doesn't make me want to do it.

One of my first side quests tasked me with going back to a dungeon I'd literally just completed so since then I've held of on all dungeons just in case I get a side quest in there so I can kill 2 birds with one stone.
I did one last night where I had to kill a target for a quest, collect some goobers for another and I also completed the dungeon for the first time. Min/max like a boss. Single run and checked off 3 lots of renown.
Does doing nightmare sigils on a dungeon you haven't done yet also complete it for the first time too?

I tried it around 10 levels earlier and was smited hard and fast. Got a slick unique last night that triggers frost novas on frozen enemies. This might carry me a bit in T4 so think I'll try and make the jump asap |

Yeah I think I'd basically be fine on T4, I've done high level nightmare dungeons and all that. But this capstone boss is going to be a bit of a roadblock, right now I just can't damage him fast enough to survive.

Yes, but there only seem to be about 10 different dungeons that have Nightmare modes I tried the Capstone at 61 and was being one shotted by succubi so noped out. I've tanked up a bit and level 64 now so I'll have another bash this evening. |

Fought my first world boss earlier, it wasn't very exciting. At first it was just me but by the end there were four of us, It took a few minutes but I never looked even close to dying. Not sure what the fuss is about.

Once you get to WT3, Sacred items start dropping, which are finally the same level as you are. Makes a massive difference. Worth getting carried there tbh.
I can cart you through when you finish the campaign if you like

Ah that's fine, you're prob not seeing the best gear yet. But also, I highly recommend you do not face the wrong way, you WILL find the game a greater challenge.

Are you yolo'ing skills and gear or do you have a direction/build you're aiming for? I aimed for ice shard princess and looked at the skills that synergise well on a few different builds and generalised along those lines but did a lot of my own thing around that template based on gear I was getting, aspects I was finding or mobs fighting etc. |

Shouldn't take that long though |
