I've been dogshit at defending on football games since they got rid of 'hold button to lock on' to be honest. I've completely winged it ever since then. Hold x for first lock on, then hold square for second lock on. Those were the days |

My defenders just feel so fucking slow - which I imagine is because my positioning is terrible and I keep spamming sprint to try and catch up. Will try the slider change, but suspect I just need to get the hang of it. At the moment the AI can carve through me at will on World Class.

Spending coins on packs is usually such bad value. Better to just save up for players.
I usually just rinse the objectives, SBCs and weekly rivals games for packs.

I'm finding th career mode on world class to be absolutely exhausting. Every game feels like a fucking cup final. Just beat Fulham 2 nil and properly cheered when Isak knocked in the late 2nd to ease the pressure. Up to the dizzying heights of 10th after 11 games.

I did get Neuer in the first pack I opened though this year.

Only 80+ I've had from the free/earned packs was Rooney lol He's actually not bad, to be fair.
As a FUT noob, why is it that I can't quick sell or transfer list a lot of my dross? Am I just stuck with them or can they be deleted somehow? Just clogging up the menu and it's doing my OCD in.

You can sell for zero coins OR (and this is better) use them in the mini games that require you to make squads. Squad Builder Challenges I think they’re called. I find it’s sometimes easier to download the app and do those at your desk.

No idea what the convert to concept stuff is, either. I’m definitely finding all the various modes, unlocks, and chemistry stuff confusing. Just trying to chip away at it, mainly playing Squad Battles in FUT. I have one player, for instance, that is meant to be an LW, but constantly had an exclamation mark next to him despite being played in his desired position. No idea what that’s about. Also, there’s some amount of utter shite you unlock lol just total nonsense stuff like net colour. I mean, WTF. Still really enjoying it though. Difficulty is a bit hit and miss; can pretty much dominate professional but WC is still way too hard for me, atm. |

How's everyone else's team looking? I lucked out yesterday, opened a couple of reward packs from objectives and got Sterling and TAA. Spent 90k on Cancelo and got Ederson for bugger all during the pre-launch web app period. Not really sure where to strengthen next. Want a new striker and CAM but can't afford Haaland or De Bruyne.  |

Aside from loans for Rooney, TAA, Bellingham, and Grealish, I've had absolutely fuck all of anything exciting/interesting from any of the objective packs etc. If it's as miserly as this, I can see why people drops thousands on the mtx stuff lol Whilst I, on the other hand, am too busy spunking all my hard earned coins on badges, kits, and tifos.

Ah, I was assuming it was like myclub in PES where you had a player but coy extend their contract. It's exactly like that with players you own. Not loan players. Save coins for players you want to buy rather than gamble on packs. Get the free packs from SBC's and hitting milestones etc. Plus if you play division rivals you get weekly rewards from there. You'll get more than enough players and contract renewals in them. The key is to build a team with great chemistry that you improve when you pack a player or get enough coins to but one. Chemistry you get from having players from the same league/team/country. The more they have in common the more chemistry they get. Helps boost the chemistry cards(add more pace, shooting, dribbling) you can add to players too. If you are too much of a whimp to venture online(really not so bad) do the squad battles and moments to get rewards. When you want to brave online, the friendlies are a good place to start. |
