How is this game now? Just looking to play either local competitive or online games with friends. Not bought a FIFA game in a very long time.
Ahh…fuck it. I’m probably going to get it. I don’t care about any Ultimate Team nonsense. Really tempted with PGA golf as well.

EA golf had me hooked for a month or so, played it a lot. There’s a big old jump up to simulation difficulty though, and the one below is a bit too easy. Although I did play it to death for that month, if you’re a bit less addicted there’ll be a lot more mileage in it

Was a typical FIFA reveal. Same shit cinematic 'gameplay' and a load of trash about what is apparently new and different, yet will somehow play exactly the same again.
I am still playing a little bit of FUT in 23, so will of course most likely get this at some point. Christmas sale as usual probably.

Yeah, that was the usual review of marketing blurb. Shame but unsurprising.
The recent gameplay really isn't bad. They just need to refine the net code and take away all the momentum bullshit. Do that and you've got a game that won't induce rage!

I don't get why, every year they make a big thing about how realistic their player likenesses are ("EA SPORTS SAPIEN!"), yet they always look like stylised characatures.

Incidentally, how much would a similar spec PC cost I wonder. My current nuc box I use for work struggles with Teams anyway. That app is such a resource hog.

I've been playing a bit of FC 24 in the evenings. I'm still getting 3-0 wins, then random 5-4 wins. The latter being against City.. I literally couldn't get the ball off them. One shot and it was in.
