Motherfucker. I want a Haaland. What formation is everyone playing? The last few years I've always used 4-2-3-1 (2), and that's how I started this time, but even with two CDMs I find I'm so vulnerable to a counter. The 'meta' this year seems to be 5-1-2-2, so I rejigged and tried that for a bit. It certainly seems to increase solidity, I get cut open a lot less. But after so many years of having wingers going to no wingers is just plain weird. My outball isn't there. The middle is a congested mess and working an attack seems much harder. These are my current 3 squad options (all can be made max chem with position modifiers) and I really don't know what to do. 5-1-2-2 feels like I'm George Graham's Leeds, shut the game down by any means necessary and hope for a 1-0. 4-2-3-1 feels like Bielsa's Leeds, probably concede 5 but might score 7 so fuck it. 5-2-2-1 feels a bit like the worst of both worlds but I've not tried it too much yet.    |

You know there's now an infinitely repeatable SBC that lets you swap any card for a position modifier? Like any common bronze. It's useful. |

Zomoniac How do you upload photos from the app on here, incidentally? I'm being stupid but cant see how to do it via mobile. You have to switch to desktop view on the the mobile FG site to get the insert image button (there's a button right at the bottom). Then just get a link from your image hosting site of choice (I use postimg.cc) |

Yeah it lets you save the previous gameplay up to an hour or something. You can then upload it to YouTube or Twitter I think.

Soon as you go 2 up the other player will usually quit. |

I went 5 for 5 tonight (way down the divisions, so it’s not bragging lol) and didn’t have any quitters tonight, which included a 1-5 even after I’d went a goal down.
I find it annoying when they quit, but you still get the points/coins, so whatever; the absolute worst are those cunts that stay but spam pauses and let the time limit run down, hoping that you yourself will chuck it.
I’m trying out a 4-1-3-2 now, which I’m having much more joy with. Found the meta 5-1-2-2 a bit tricky with my current squad. Dropped some coins on Kessie, who is an absolute baller in that CDM role, allowing De Jong to float as a CAM, which seems to be going well.
