What's "chip shop fish"? ´Youngs Chip Shop´ brand. I was skeptical at first of pre battered frozen cod but it is actually a decent impression of battered fish. Certainly helpful at least that one of the kids like it and requested it, I have had worse from restaurants so it´s good for an easy dinner when the cupboard is bare. |

I tend to keep a couple of frozen bits of battered fish in the freezer and the obligatory tin of mushy peas in the cupboard. Handy when you just fancy a minimal effort dinner (well, depending on how much effort you put into the chips of course)
Making a spicy chick pea stew type thing which I'll have with rice. The first recipe that came up claims it's Moroccan style, but it'd be a stretch to call it that.
