Yeah, was just thinking that's a pretty weird seafood to be the only one you like.
A nicely done (still pink in the middle) bit of tuna loin would be a decent gateway to the fishy world if you haven't tried it yet. Haven't had that in ages now that I mention it. Marinade in a bit of chilli and lime before hitting the pan. Mmmmmmmm.

Boiled salmon is a good starting point.

I've tried loads, different countries, cuisines and fish.
Oysters are the best. It doesn't make sense. Even before I tried them I thought there was no way, but they just work.
Helps I love tobasaco sauce as well I think.

Oysters are absolutely rank, only had them once and it won't ever be happening again.

I’m probably genetically programmed to like anything deep fried though. Seafood is awesome, think I love all of it.

For me oysters are only good cooked. But not in a fish pie type of thing, that's a bit rank. I like them under the grill with a kilpatrick type topping or some other sort of saucy, crispy stuff. Not had them for years though.

I struggle with any shellfish. The idea of it freaks me out a little.

Warm octopus salad with curcuma potatoes, tomatoes and olives Squid, prawn and cannelloni bean soup Paccheri with guanciale and mussels Mixed fried fish Cracking dinner, the pasta was amazing, gotta love that pork/seafood combo. Fritto misto was a bit copious though.

Apparently I've got to eat this jar of pesto within three days, so pesto with everything.

ecosse What the fuck have you got against marine molluscs? Nothing, honest! They’re just tasty and here in the Venetian region there is cracking stuff, unsurprisingly Switzerland where I live isn’t the best place in the world for seafood so I’m taking advantage

For some reason I remembered Jerk Chicken as not being particularly spicy. It was pretty spicy.

It's made with Scotch Bonnets so definitely spicy. Jerk chicken on the bbq is absolutely delicious.

I ordered jerk chicken from a haute cuisine restaurant recently and it was basically just lightly dusted with paprika. It was the very definition of white people spicy.

We had (fairly mild) jerk chicken at our wedding. It was very popular with my wife's family.
We had sandwiches and fish and chips for the non-spice folks (ie, most of my family), too. 😁

We rarely have room in our freezer, so I always end up just eating fridge chilli all week. It kind of starts to lose its appeal by the fourth day in a row and puts me off making it again for a while. Love just digging a good batch of it out of the freezer for a midweek meal.
I put a completely winging it jambalaya in the slow cooker earlier and will bung a bit of rice in later. Put it on way too late in the day so I've got it on high. I'll have to remember to do it at lunch next time.

Having the Thai place again as it's Mrs Fox's b'day and it was her request. I'm currently trying to bake a cake from scratch and it is going better than the last time at least which is known as the 'fish cake' incident.
