Tinga chicken with tacos photos.app.goo.gl/p2BhJoDdETRLiWvx6Chicken thighs, dry brined overnight in salt, paprika, garlic and cumin, slow cooked in a sauce made of onion, tomatoes, peppers, garlic and various smoked chiles. Then shredded and added back into the sauce, which will thicken and cling to the chicken - thus making it work in a taco.

Going to our neighbours for dinner, raclette so very Swiss and very not waistline friendly.

I love raclette, is it the proper one or just the slices in a tray under a grill? Doesn't matter, it's all good.
I'm going to fire up the bbq for a nice reverse sear steak, been craving that. The kids can have nuggets or something and they'll be happy.

The other half is off out for a work meal tonight to an authentic Southern restaurant, so she’s bringing me back some chicken and waffles. Yissss.

That's all we usually get anyway, it's lovely and a nice dry Savoie to go with.

That's all we usually get anyway, it's lovely and a nice dry Savoie to go with. It was wee trays, two different cheeses, one cow's milk, one goat's milk and a nice wine from Zurich. Went down too well, I ate far too much, feel bloated now

Got some Impossible burgers on clearance. Had them with homemade oven chips and salad. Fuck, they really are a cut above most veggie burgers.

Wow, we had pork medallions with broccoli too, but in a slightly more traditional “Sunday Roast” effort, with cauliflower, carrots, roast potatoes and gravy.
No idea what we’re having tonight: Sunday is always down as “Pot Luck” here, which means “we could be out on a family day trip, so what you can catch!”

So the wife and I had Five Guys for the first time on Saturday night. Thoroughly enjoyed, Mrs Toast particularly liked the bacon milkshake.

It's got rum or something in it I think, I got the recipe somewhere but not tried it.
We had home made burgers yet again, was lovely.

Veggie lasagna and chips. Definitely not moving from my desk for the rest of the day. It was mostly cheese, not that I'm complaining.
