Wild salmon with orzo salad.
Trying to eat more healthily so there's more salad than orzo.

I have the kids at mine for dinner on Wednesdays and we've started a new ritual of having chicken tacos. So obviously I made the tacos myself and the chicken has been marinating for about 36 hours in cumin, paprika, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar and a splash of vinegar. I like to sear it on both sides, add a splash of water to the pan and let it sort of braise for 15 minutes or so. It pulls apart perfectly for tacos. Serving it with a pepper and mango pico, jalepenos and some nachos, as well as some veggies. Butttt - I didn't make enough tacos for me to have more than one

Getting Chicken Tikka from Indian with Chutney. Trying to decide between Roti or Naan, edging towards Roti...

Spicy mince wraps. I'm sure there's a Mexican name for it.

I went Roti, made effectively a chicken tikka sandwich, it was fine.

After about 25 years of meaning to try I've finally had some meatballs at IKEA, well that was a let down.

Trying a new recipe for chocolate chip cookies. Will report back in due course.
Ah, the baking trays I used were too small so I've essentially got two very large chocolate chip puddles.

Bison sirloin tonight, will roast some new potatoes and probably some onions too. Time to open some red wine I think.

Burgers, buns, fried onions, Parmentier potatoes, salad and good Cheshire cheese.
Relishes, mainly chilli-based.

What's with the Johnny no mates spud imposter? GF decided she didn't want any sweet potato so I stopped putting it on her plate

My daughter decided to make sweets every day, and made some banging donuts a few days ago. I knew there was a good reason to have kids! \o/

Took my wife, mum and mother-in-law out for a Mother's Day Sunday lunch. Had a slap up roast (beef, as I rarely get it at home) with (half a) apple crumble and custard for dessert. I am still stuffed 5 hours later.
Maybe cheese and biscuits for supper later.

Haven't had a decent roast in ages. And tonight isn't the night, it's pasta because I'm lazy.

Managed to slice through a fingernail while chopping coriander.
There was a remarkable amount of blood.

Need to fold those fingers in before you lose one. That's going to hurt for a bit, cuts under the nails are right bastards.

Sliced the end off my thumb recently with a victorinox tomato knife. For some reason my knife safety skills just seem to go out the window whenever I use that thing (along with various appendages)
And yeah, ridiculous amounts of blood for such a tiny wound.

There is a new Thai restaurant in our town that delivers. Had to order via whatsapp before 5pm but should be good. So Red beef curry, Yellow chicken curry and a Massaman Prawn curry on the way plus Satays and Sticky ribs. Quite looking forward to this.

Fish pie.
My wife is good at cooking, I just wish she’d choose things I want to eat when it’s her turn. Although my cooking would probably mean I gain about a stone a month and have severe health issues. Butter is my cooking friend.

The rib's I have not had before and they were garlicky and amazing. Curries a hit all round and plenty left for lunch. Would of liked more Satay sauce but all in all very good and will definitely order again. Would love to find a recipe for the rib's for a long low and slow bbq cook.

Made a chicken and chickpea curry. It was a bit like a balti but I sort of made it up as I went along.
Served with some homemade buttered roti.
