A potato scallop you nonces. Anyway, tonight it's vegan chilli with Mexican rice (ie sauteed onions, peppers, celery and garlic). I love this vegan chilli, it's made with loads of smoked chiles and it's got chocolate and marmite in it. So, so savoury and rich. Recipe? It sounds...actually, now I look carefully marmite and chocolate sounds fucking awful but I'm open minded enough to be proved wrong.

I had some spring rolls in a roll the other week. With mayonnaise and pickled red onion (as if the first two things combined weren't bad enough already) That was a "We need to clear the freezer out and ah fuck it that'll do I guess" kind of lunch.

Looks pretty good, the oregano is the thing I always miss out of mine. I'd probably replace the coffee with a square of dark chocolate as well, just to contradict myself.

A potato scallop is a potato disc, like half-finished chips. Some people call deep-fried mashed potato a scallop, but that's actually a potato fritter. Both are excellent.

Fritter = potato (or pineapple, or whatever) deep fried in the type of batter you use for chip shop fish.
And yes, as previously discussed, I eat pie sandwiches.

These are smaller than the ribs I normally use but hard to find decent ones outside of the summer. Doing corn on the cobs, smoked potato salad and some coleslaw on the bbq when they've cooked.
