Lazi Chicken Szechuan destruction   I don't think it's the MSG that's making you shit... That chicken looks amazing. The flavours were great but the chicken a bit dry, would work better with bigger pieces properly. Nae runs though. |

Just a supermarket rump steak with some random waxy roast spuds. It was a nice thick cut though, so it stood up to a salt brine and reverse searing nicely. Really don't know why I never tried this method sooner. Takes pretty much all of the guesswork out if you just whack a meat thermometer in and leave it for half an hour. 1 minute sear each side in a bastard hot pan (kitchen door is closed and windows open right now - definitely one for the grill outside next time)

I reckon keep the chimney going with a few loads of coal and that should get the temps where they need to be.

I am in greasy, delicious heaven. Can't even be arsed with the fries I made. Might just go have a wank and go to sleep. |

Anyway, tonight it's vegan chilli with Mexican rice (ie sauteed onions, peppers, celery and garlic).
I love this vegan chilli, it's made with loads of smoked chiles and it's got chocolate and marmite in it. So, so savoury and rich.
