I ended up having beans on toast with grated cheese at about half 11 whilst waiting for my other half to come back from her parents.
I was so hungry it tasted amazing.

I ended up having beans on toast with grated cheese at about half 11 whilst waiting for my other half to come back from her parents. I was so hungry it tasted amazing. Beans on toast is amazing although I’m not a fan of the cheese, I know many are. And they can’t be Heinz beans either as they are rank these days. My preference is actually for beans and the mini sausages and the best ones are either: 1. Branston as in the pickle 2. A very particular Asda’s own in a purple can - the sausages are big semi jumbo efforts Again Heinz’ offering in this space is rank - their sausages are like really rank slimy hotdogs which remind me of a hexagonal profiled sausage I once had in the worst Brexity seaside bar in Benidorm (it was a stag-do years ago, not by choice). Whatever your preference, I hope we can all agree that there must be a separate ‘dippy slice’ of toast, cut in half and placed to either side of the main ‘pile’. This is to be consumed first as an appetiser and I prefer a triangle cut. This slice should have a liberal coverage of butter/marge. Cracking tea.

We call any kind of full English for dinner "brinner".
A couple of years back we even had one for a Christmas get together with friends and called it a Yule Brinner.

Hmm, not sure on the toast timings but most of the rest seems adequate to pass the test. Jury's out though. Vital decision making skills are required at this point.

See, it depends what you do with the beans. Heinz beans benefit greatly from a shake of cayenne pepper and a healthy dollop of butter/ghee - delete as appropriate. And then there's always the tang angle. So this could be a couple of shakes of Worcestershire sauce, OR, if you have guests, then you have to bring out the Hendersons relish.
None of this is easy to decide on.

I can't think of anything less appetising than those baked bean sausages to be honest.

Standard breaded garlic mushrooms in the freezer section of tesco say hello.
You've never tasted rank like that.

I can't think of anything less appetising than those baked bean sausages to be honest. That’s because you never tried the Branstons. Heinz would fetch up my dog’s breakfast and she eats her own **** at least twice a week.

Nah, beans with those little sausages in are just plain grim no matter the brand.

The toast is used as a scoop for the beans, surely - not the appetiser. quadfather that is some excellent bacon, good job.

It was my Sicilian partner's suggestion....
I can vouch for the creme egg cookies though.
