Definitely a pint if at the football. No way to buy a pint and drink it at a leisurely pace!

So first test of the air fryer today, would've done the chicken in there too but it was a big ol' thing (2.3kg) and didn't really fit but did do the roasties, butternut squash, parsnip and some batter puds in there, all pretty acceptable though the spuds were the cheapest crap from Lidl so they didn't taste brilliant, everything roasted up petty well, I think I should have used a tiny bit more oil (probably only used about two teaspoons on the spuds and less on the rest, I did make a rookie error though and should have done a test run, should also have thoroughly washed the pan things beforehand but completely forgot so everything had a slight 'new oven fist use' smell/taste to it but hopefully that will go. Obviously as a first test using both the oven and the fryer was a bit counter productive but next time the chicken won't be so big so can do the lot in it.

Surprised it wasn't 16 fish fingers if I'm being honest.

Hang on, how do you (next week) fit a roast chicken, plus roasties and Yorkshire puds in an air fryer all at once?

It has two compartments, chicken can go in one, the veggies in the other, pop the batter puds on top of the veggies for 3mins at the end. Roasts a chicken in 50mins apparently!

It's the Instant Vortex ClearCook 7.6L Dual Air Fryer. I wonder what a big ol' chicken that's touching the sides will do, not cook? not go brown where it's touching? I will be finding out.

Yeah, it'll cook but just stick to the sides.

I'm on a right bonus today. I made a lamb balti curry last night in the slow cooker. Ate half and saved the rest. Today, I've got some bombay chicken curry from this awesome butcher, so am going to do both and have them in separate bowls. I think I've got some nice breads too, so bring on the stodge!

I don't normally click on sponsored content, but when it's about whiskey based sausage recipes, I'm all for it.
I am absolutely going to try that first recipe, with the mustard removed, obviously, because why in the fuck would you.

What are you planning on doing with the mustard after you've removed it?
I'd say mustard would work in it. I made a pan sauce with bourbon and mustard in before and it was pretty banging.

I've been on gousto meals for the last week or so, which have all been really nice. It was a tasty beef mince Rogan josh last night which gave me the most heinous farts through the night that I've ever had in my life. No idea what was in the spice mix that set my guts off.

Fish fingers, chips and beans. With two slices of buttered bread. Talk to me about the sandwich. One slice folded? One fish finger per sandwich? All in one? Mop up device?

I've not had a chip butty in ages. Need to rectify that soon.

They were really good, even with oven chips and wholemeal bread. Would kill for a proper chippy.

Did somebody mention fish fingers?
Actually since cutting right down on the drinking, fish finger sandwiches don't have the same appeal anymore.

Aye, I used to have a fish finger sarnie weekly, but don't think I've had one so far this year. Sliced tiger loaf with (trust me on this one) lashings of mayo and grated cheddar.

Cheese? In a fish finger sandwich? Good god.
Mayo and sweet chilli sauce at a push. Tartare sauce is also acceptable.

Just try it. It sounds like it shouldn't work, but really does.
