It’s double cool because it’s brought more attention to the system as how performance falls out it’s own asshole once a few folks start simultaneously using the service
I’m not going to be surprised when it’s discovered that Ukrainian units using Starlink systems have been significantly targeted more often by Russian guided munitions. The only reason the link not being discovered sooner is the atrocious quality of Russian munitions and soldiers

Once again, he was asked directly and publicly by Mykhailo Fedorov to send the equipment over, if he hadn’t you’d be in here saying he’s a cunt for not helping people in need. And the US government paid for the equipment and the shipping and Musk is personally worth 200 or so billion dollars. Which is eleven times the value of actual weapons and supplies that the US has sent over Fuck Musk The whole thing hinges on whether the starlink terminals are used by the military or not. If they are, it's not unreasonable to ask the DoD to chip in. And since you are so specific with the eleven times you also know that "the US government paid for the equipment" isn't entirely true.

Well, it is universally accepted that we are in a simulation. Elon knows this, like Neo. He is the chosen one.

I wouldn't be surprised if Musk is actively working on Roko's Basilisk.

So he owns Twitter now.
Good excuse for me to finally delete my account today I reckon.
EDIT: Done.

Will see how it goes but will likely use it less and less, if moderation is cut back on.
He's apparently sacked the top team. Such an egotistical arsehole.

This can only end well. I suppose the wrong 'uns will be allowed back in. Maybe a merger with Truth social/Parler in a month or 2.

I wonder what exactly the Tesla motor car software engineers could decipher when they were told to spend a day looking through twitters social media code

Looking forward to going back to the "did you see what Trump said on Twitter" part of our timeline.

Twitter has undoubtedly become the "International Town Square" and should be a forum for unfiltered free speech. Anything else would become a dangerous echo chamber.
Despite Twitter being a private company, I don't see that as an excuse to ban people insidiously and subjectively for "breach of policy".
I'm fine with the takeover as long as Musk's moderation team only ban users for illegal activity, and nothing else.
I don't use Twitter. Everybody has this option. If I did, I certainly wouldn't read what deluded people like Trump have to say, but it's up to individuals whether they make this same decision, not Twitter.

I deleted my account the moment the news dropped, always planned to. Just a small way to reduce the value of what he’s paid for. Hopefully the data actually does get deleted and Musk doesn’t alter things to keep everything he can about you.

In total contrast to Darkling above, I fully support deplatforming of dangerous and factually incorrect information, and find the idea that everyone should be allowed to freely express every view naive
I'd fully support burning Twitter and other social media platforms to the ground.
And honestly, for all the good the internet has done, I think we'd be better off as a species and society without it, because the damage, and scope for potential harm, that social media enables is so far off the chart it actually negates the potential for good.
Maybe that's just me.
I look forward to the proliferation of abhorrent views and ideas in months and years to come.

I dunno, I kind of feel like if someone had taken Hitler’s microphone away, or not published his book, or cut his tongue out and smashed his fingers, it would have saved a whole lot of bother later on. I haven’t read Mein Kampf but someone sure fucking did.

Yeah. I don't know darkling, but generally those who call for 'unfiltered free speech' don't actually mean what they're asking for and are the thinnest skinned snowflakes going.

Including Musk himself. Pretty sure he's shut down whistleblowers and critics of his companies working practices. Musk like most of those "free speech" cunts actually mean "free speech for me, not for thee".

Deleted now anyway not that it'll make a blind hit of difference.

I was only on Twitter because 4J Studios only posted Minecraft news via that channel. Later I got interested in trans issues and I don’t actually want to see how that goes under lord musk.

"Unfiltered free speech" is basically the worst parts of 4chan. If Twitter becomes like that, people are going to leave in droves.
It's like having a philosophical objection to plucking the weeds out of your garden. You're absolutely free to make that decision! But the end result is going to be weeds fucking everywhere, and it probably won't be a space people will want to spend any amount of time in.

Isn't 50% of the purchase leveraged against the company anyway? So if he doesn't make it profitable, he's going to be in bother.
Well, Tesla are.
