Theres no definitive proof but there's suggestions that Elon essentially talks to himself through buner accounts on twitter. Posting an image of himself with his child only to go online lon another account and reply to it like "Your kids are so lucky to have you Elon, you're a great dad". Again, no proof but one account essentially exposing it has now been banned. Plus, you can absolutely see him doing it

Freedom of speech is essential, until you say something I disagree with and you posess a platform to be heard. It's like the whole "stick to x/y/z" thing when a celeb expresses a political opinion, as if anyone believes they'd still be trying to shout them down if the were expressing opinions they agreed with instead.
I've always wanted someone to ask the tories who whinge about that sort of shit to their face on TV about that. "You're on record as being highly in favour of free speech, can you explain why you feel certain people should not be allowed to express their opinions and why those people are exclusively those who disagree with you and are able to be publicly visible when doing so?"

I finally binned it the other day. I assume the algorithm crashed briefly and it gave me a pure, unfiltered Twitter experience, dumping an unending stream of far right propaganda and fight videos on me.
And, as I was saying the other day, rather than just migrate to a slightly less racist flavour, I think im kind of done with it. If your choice is Dorsey, Musk or Zuckerberg, im choosing nothing.

The fun one at the moment is him hiding the ad notification (badly) on MrBeast videos (after he complained that Twitter reach and revenue was terrible for most people) which is in direct violation of several consumer protection laws.

I think my lack of enthusiasm for any of the twitter clones is part of a wider 'I'm completely done with the social media (and, slightly more broadly, the internet)'. I don't have Facebook anymore, I'm finished with twitter, I check Instagram maybe once a week....
