I actually like the idea of chip implants allowing control of computers or even artificial limbs etc, as it could be very useful helping people with disabilities, I just don't trust a company helmed by Musk.

Being entirely fair to the guy, he’s probably bloody minded enough to keep the smart people who work for him pushing the tech forward, even after it becomes clear it can’t be monetised any time soon and will lead to staggering losses. There are uses to it beyond the ‘I want to live in the future’ rubbish.
