For those that have reasonable memories may recall the evening of 23/3/20 was the start of the first lockdown, it was also my fiftieth birthday, so yay.

Seems fitting to bump this thread as it's directly relating to the date it last had anything on it, 2-3 weeks after this day I had a letter from the NHS that I'd hit the age that biennial screening for bowel cancer was to be done. A kit arrived a bit later and after doing what you'd expect to have to do to test for it I got the result today that no further testing was needed, as I expected.
So no cancer up the arse to fuck most likely, hurrah.

We were on the subject of pay rises this morning, and I asked if I could be a cheeky fucker and defer mine for a few months and have the company buy me this instead (£765 from samsung with vouchers) and he said I have a better idea, it's obviously for work use, so happy birthday.

Or at least similarish- I was in a meeting with my boss this morning when my hamstring cramped up seriously while moving my leg under the chair I was sitting on. I had been to the gym last night (leg day no1 of the week), so I kind of know why, but this kind of shite never happened to me when I was young(er).  After laughing at my decrepitude, he admitted his back had spasmed at a long meeting the week before. Old age is shit. |

Aye, I managed to twist both my knee and ankle at the same time last week. Fucking agony. Couldn't drive to work, couldn't even do work if I could get there and could barely walk.
Stairs are currently my number one enemy. Bastard things.
And because my other leg and back have been doing all the grafting, now *they're* fucked and giving me gyp.
Fucks sake, just push me into a ditch.

Just the NHS app. Denise Lewis is my taskmaster. Just ended week 2, so calling it running at the moment is a stretch (indeed, Google fit recognises it as a walk...fuck you Google!). But it's more than I've done in a long time and it hurts less than week one. Aside from the tight hammy.

Went for my old man check finally and heard nothing back, no news is good news etc. then my wife said you can see your results on the NHS app. A couple of things are on the low side outside of “normal” which both indicate anemia according to dr Google. Started doubling up on iron tablets and lo, I’m less knackered and not seeing phosphenes any more when exercising
