Quite stunned at how good this looks but it's funny - same thing as with the Dead Space remake - in that half the time my brain goes "this is what it looked like before". But it really isn't. The level of detail is nuts.
Having played the original version, and part 2, I kind of now think that I love these games more than I realise. They're never games I think of when I think back to my best gaming moments but already in part 1 it's hitting me in the feels and I'm reminded just how fucking well written and played out they are. The combat is on another level as well. Every encounter just feels brutal, and a genuine fight for survival.

Ahhh man. The double whammy of what you find in the sewers and then the end of the suburbs part. It's hard going. It's taking me ages. My playtime is around 11 hours already and I've only just got to the power plant. Doesn't help that I keep having to stop and take in the surroundings.

I've been replaying this (third play through of the game as it's the third version of the game I have bought) and am enjoying it just as much on this run. It's a great game with an excellent story. I am going to then play Part 2 which I am a bit more apprehensive about but goodness Naughty Dog do make excellent games.

Well after just putting it on to see what it looks like on the Pro and then suddenly playing it all the time. I can’t believe how good this game looks.
The textures of the paintings in the museum and the subway section just after and I’m gobsmacked how gorgeous this game looks.
Dunno if it’s me but I can’t stop turning the camera every time I strangle someone, infected or human, to watch the life drop out of their faces is unbelievable, was that there before?
