Ooh, an actual in game consequence. One of the characters is now "hardened", deals increased damage but can no longer use their healing ability - presumably because they're secretly hoping I'll die in combat.

I wondered why one of my characters was hardened and they couldn't heal. I never realized it was because of one of the early choices.
These are the kind of choice and consequence I like. Rather than just affecting the story, it actually affects the character and which abilities they have moving forward along with how effective those abilities are.
It makes a difference.

Took one hour to kill a lvl 25 champion boss whilst I was level 10. If I wasn’t such a sadist I would have given up but it wasn’t too hard to stay alive just had the largest health bar ever. Was hoping the reward was some crazy good armour but it just let me open a door to more lvl 25 enemies so I’ll come back later.
Definitely worth exploring everywhere as I’ve got a knife for my wizard that is so much more powerful than anything else that’s dropped that I found from a well hidden chest in the crow city.

Enjoying so far but why are there so many saves? 5 auto, temp chapter, 3 temp decision saves right now, and of course my manual one (which is never at the top of the list when I decide to save myself)?
Won't impact the actual game for me but that just seems unnecessary.

I’m all for multiple saves! You never know when you have to re load of some file corrupts.
Anyone else on pc? It really is a sexy sexy game. 1440p everything on max and getting 70-110 fps depending how crazy things are.

It does both look lovely and run well and I'm having a good time a couple of hours in. Not much roleplaying and very on rails so far, but I think I've just come out of the "tutorial". |

I’ve generally enjoyed what I’ve played but I’m thinking of putting the brakes on it for now. I think it does a reasonable job of trying to onboard new players but it does name drop a lot of factions, places and concepts and despite the glossary it not really ingrained in me what they actually mean. Everything feels a little stop start as I read up on things and even then it doesn’t sink in. So think I will go back and play the earlier games. Didn’t really feel that way with the Witcher 3. Might give it a few more hours yet, we’ll see.

Saw a quick video from the game and was so confused. Is dragon age now tpp hack and slash?
Basically, yes - there isn't an equivalent of Inquisition's tactical mode, insofar as I'm aware, and all the combat plays out in real time.
I only played origins and saw inquisitor gameplay and this look way more actiony Man. I wish I had time to play those. |

My dude looks an awful lot like me (the character creator is pretty good), so no picture of him. Just imagine an ill looking Zac Dingle.
Someone posted a pic earlier of it but that hat on the side of Neves head, I keep forgetting about it and occasionally thinking the camera has glitches out.

I encountered a bug in a quest involving the Necropolis last night, and a google for solutions revealed that it's tied to a certain event that, if not completed, I now won't see.
Patch was announced for later in the week.

Other than that, I'm still enjoying it. Encountered several legacy characters now, one which quite surprised me.
Lore-wise, it continues to upend and rewrite the history of Thedas.
