Cheap booze, top mad bants, the occasional mage/templar/demonspawn issue to resolve. Let's go!

I'm really glad that they went back to drawing board and made sure it was purely a single player experience. Here's hoping all the hard work pays off.

It's another one made with the Frostbite Engine, which has at least some advantages now as opposed to when they used it for DA:I and ME:A in that they've had much longer to iron out the problems with it. Hopefully.
With everything maxed out, the environments in Inquisition looked stunning, and it can be at least visually and tonally consistent with its' predecessor.
Plus, the mod community will be able to jump right in without needing to learn many new systems. When DA:I first came out, daimod files were the go to format, but were later superseded by frostymod, and they don't always play that well with each other. By the time ME:A came out, people had learned better and all mods for it were frostymod format by default, and aside from the occasional hiccup with load orders, that's all been working perfectly well.

Am I missing something or is that just a logo?

You know what Dreadwolves are, right? They're like wolves, but they're Dread.

The longer the wolf, the more dread.

That's really not a good choice of name. Or font. Or colour...
I'll start my hype train in a couple of years when they actually have something to show.

I started a Dragon Age once and quite liked it but drifted away too quickly. Must try again. It was sunny and people were being mean to elves and I made friends with a kind of big golem thing.

I really enjoyed the first Dragon Age on PC when it came out (and the expansion and all DLC) but having lost my save in the dead/old PC ether (see also my Mass Effect 1 save which stopped me playing it's sequels despite owning them too) so neve really played the sequels due to losing my progress (despite the Bioware platform having stored some stuff apparently). A long game to replay though (and not sure how good the tapestry thing to make your choices is as a substitute). Hopefully the game turns out well after mixed reception of the last two.

DA:O was unfortunately quite bloated. It was also annoying that tooltips basically give no info beyond the most basic functionality. The tooltip-fix helped, but only so much.
But I guess if you go in with the right attitude it might still be fun.
In spite of that I have always been a little bit interested in the rest of the series, but they require Origin, don't they?

It really is a pathetic industry at times. I get you, but I’m not sure I agree. Having started my gaming in the 8 bit era, we regularly had a name and little else to go on for months, shown as often premature and ultimately (heh, Ultimate) nebulous adverts in the magazines of the day. We still got excited!

We still got excited! I hear you, but people were patient back then - maybe by necessity, not choice: information was scarce, imaginations were pure, we didn't know better, it was easier... Nowadays, we are bombarded by information all around, the hype machine is crushing us, we need to know everything man and we need to know it now!

Missed opportunity to call it Dragon Age Phwaor and make it a pure High Fantasy Fuck Simulator without all that tiresome fighting.
I really do hope they make a good RPG this time with some lovely simulations and area with well-crafted content in them. I was baffled that Inquisition had money for people to build these huge zones but couldn’t afford anyone to write content for them.

I second that, DA:I felt like such a bloated missed opportunity with all the get/kill ten things of a thing quests the game managed to be about three times longer than it needed to be and short on content
