Testing my Switch Great Ace Attorney made me decide to actually get on with my AA backlog, having previously only finished the original DS trilogy and the Layton crossover. After some bad luck of my stalwart DSiXL getting a screen glitch and a DS LITE having a dead touch screen I went old school to my phat DS mixed with my new 3DS XL. The art still holds up well with plenty of the silly little animations that the series is known for. The story started off on the weaker end but I enjoyed the final chapter. Plenty of little typos but not hugely bothersome.
Only problem now is do I go onto the Miles Edgeworth games, PW 5 and 6 or the Great Ace Attorney next... Tempted to go chronological and do the Edgeworth games but the completely separate GAA is also tempting.
I think 34 is my highest score in the challenge.

People are listing more games than I've completed in my life. Things need a good story for me to complete them and a fair gaming mechanic i.e dying every 2 seconds will get the console launched out of the window.
Uncharted series was good for keeping me hooked and completing. Gears of War as well.

Possibly got a few endings to do on this but will mark it as done for now. Played on Gamepass. Fairly short (one evening) Groundhog Day adventure game. A bit clunky and not the prettiest game around bit reasonably enjoyable the way more information can be used as you move forward. Not sure how good I think the overall plot was, bit it was worth a play through and as said I may try and do a few more endings and achievements (I got 1 worth 80pts).
Also finishing off Miles Edgeworth 1.

Eeeh, it was alright. Felt like a mix of Blood and Truth and XIII and bits of it were fun (especially the skiing gunfight sections which felt very Bond-like) but my hatred of the Move controllers often ruined intense shooting sections.

And finished off Miles Edgeworth 1 (taking around 28 hours). I wasn't quite sure about the change in style at first but got used to it as the game progresses and enjoyed it overall as the cases gained in complexity (even if I could see two of the reveals in the final chapter a long time before the game let you). If you like the PW games give it a go. I played this on on my n3DSXL as my DSi XL has gained screen issues. Next will likely be the sequel. Also playing Psychonauts 2 on PC that I want to complete before my Gamepass 3 months runs out...
Progress is about where it should be week for week I guess as I make it week 35. (arguably 36)... Not too bad but holidays slowed me down a lot...

Finished the main story of Psychonauts 2 on PC Game Pass (estimated over 90% collection completion but planning to try and finish off for 100% if it doesn't get too annoying). Story followed up from the original really well (and I missed the VR mid-game) and worked well for me keeping the tone and atmosphere of the original whilst really expanding the lore. On PC I was really impressed with the graphics too looking like very stylistically similar to the first but with modern detail. Voice acting is pretty good throughout and the music is fitting. Controls are generally pretty tight with a few minor camera issues and I had no bugs or crashes. Overall I was very pleasantly pleased with a game I feared would be decent at best.
Elsewhere playing Edgeworth 2 and will try and finish off the collectibles in PN2.
Edit - got all collectibles and Gamerscore on PN2, seemingly 36-37 hours (Xbox app lists 1d 13h)

Another Game Pass game that wasn't quite as fun as I had hoped. Got all stars on all levels including NG+ ones (except one which I got bored of repeating). Th idea is cute and it has some variety in the levels and looks charming enough but it is over simplistic and bar a few exceptions the difficulty is aimed very low. There are some nice ideas and homages in there but it is clearly a lower budget game. I enjoyed it enough to finish off though. 490/1000 GS.
Now to see if I can get through Raji...

The devs said there will be an Enhanced Edition of Raji with gameplay improvements by the end of the year, so I'm waiting for that before starting it.

The combat is a bit repetitive bit enjoying the setting so will likely stick with it as it is supposed to be short. I hadn't heard about the EE. Playing it on Gamepass before sub runs out. |

Played through Raji on Gamepass in a bit under 6 hours with 18/21 achievements and 800/1000 Gamerscore (missed a few collectibles basically). 3D platformer / hack and slasher based on Hindu mythology and set in India (made by Indian Devs). The setting and world are really good with pretty and vast platforming backdrops for such a small dev team and cool shadow puppet cutscenes. Some character models are a little weaker bit good enough. Platforming is quite fun but the combat is limited in variety and enemy types (although your weapon choices add some variety) and some puzzles are too often repeated despite this I enjoyed it, although the setting was a big part of it. A few weird stutters running supersampled at 3620 X 1527 and high GPU usage for the tech but generally 60fps throughout.
Progress remains good, can I reach 52 for the first time or will Lost Judgment slow me down too much?
