RadicalRex Ah! In that case, ignore me DMC1 is a bit dated now - and, as you say, the fixed cameras can be pretty disorienting - but I had a lot of fun with it. Hopefully you will too, once it gets to the top of your backlog pile.
EDIT: If you have the remastered trilogy, and if you don't mind some unsolicited advice, skip DMC2. It's awful! Go straight from 1 to 3 instead.

I'd play 3 then 5 (maybe 4) and ignore the others unless you want a history lesson
Or play Bayo because it's betterer

I installed NFS Unbound to give it a go. Aside from the absolutely annoying chatter and music.. it is quite enjoyable. Probably something I'll blast through every so often.

Evil West (PS5 via PS4) a very linear third person shooter. Now reminds me of Shadow of the Damned meets Bulletstorm. 13 hrs in a few tough bosses but nothing unsurmountable. Enjoying it.

I'm currently stretched far too thin for games, but here it is. I am playing Rogue Trader, an endless 40k CRPG Rise of the Golden Idol, an excellent sequel to the excellent Case of the Golden Idol The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante, a great narrative CRPG that looks a bit like a visual novel Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, for when I need to check markers off a map Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island, because it was on sale and I love the Shiren series Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, because Shu Takumi Stardew Valley, because the new update came to Switch Balatro, because I hate myself I think it's having spent so long on Elden Ring to then not finish it, but I've been playing lots of shorter/pick up and play games since and really enjoying it. Life is too short and there's too many great games I want to play to worry about only playing one thing at a time and I don't want to rush to finish something just so I can start something else. As such, my currently playing list is also pretty extensive
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom: Not long left on this one. Wasn't expecting too much from it (pretty but average) but has definitely been a stand out of the genre with its puzzle platforming (and it is very pretty)
Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection: Really, really difficult - and that was when I was playing on easy. It's mercifully short so there's only a few levels to master, which you'll have to. Presentation is wonderful. It's hard and not fair and I love it
Mario Odyssey: You want Power Moons? We got Power Moons. Been through it before but didn't really do anything past the end boss. Going to casually head for the end this time without getting sidetracked too much and see what's what after the credits
Axiom Verge 2: Not far into it but seems every bit as good as the first one. Underrated soundtracks - they're amazing but never see anyone talking about them
Fire Emblem Echoes: Put it aside for now after about 90 hours as the life sim stuff has become a chore and I can't be arsed with it. As above, I'd rather wait than force myself through it to get it finished. I'll come back to it when I'm properly in the mood for it and enjoy the end, even though the story is rubbish
Tactics Ogre Reborn: So far an excellent update to one of my favourite games. Amazing characters, story, world building, music, everything. A few changes to the gameplay but nothing that I haven't liked so far. The new voice acting is great too
Castlevania Dominus Collection: I was going to have a break from this after finishing DoS but think I'll be starting Portrait of Ruin now
Then there's stuff I've finished but am still playing or will be playing forever - Streets of Rage 4, Turtles collection, Vampire Survivor, Dead Cells, Breath of the Wild. Random arcade stuff like Sunset Riders and NewZealand Story. And I've got Loop Hero and Cyber Shadow sat on my home screen that I'll probably start soon too
Given that most of them are pretty straight forward in terms of their gameplay and stories (if they've got one), it's easy to just hop about and play whatever I'm in the mood for at the time. And no stressing about a backlog or any of that

I'm not sure why so many people dislike Unbound. I thought it was a return to form for Criterion and I liked how you could choose to set up your car for either grip or drift, depending on your style

Yeah I don’t know either. Sure Forza Horizon has developed on what Burnout did many years ago, but you can’t beat NFS for pure road racing. I think Unbound is certainly worth considering and it’s also on a crazy sale price on PS and on Game Pass.

Obtuse puzzles are something that shouldn't be allowed. I think the last game of this type I may have played would have been Beneath a steel sky. God i am old. The only one I encountered in Loco Motive so far that really annoyed me was when I had to combine sawdust with a cup of water to make a glue-like paste. That is absolutely not what it would create, rather than just... some sawdust in water. I also didn't realise that there's more than one playable character in it, which is making it interesting. Beneath A Steel Sky is still great today, for the most part. The sequel can fuck right off though. Awful game through and though, and nearly melted my GPU thanks to poor optimisation. What's wrong with the sequel, apart from the poor optimisation? I'm a big fan of Broken Sword but bounced off Beneath a Steel Sky the twice I've tried it, but have considered the sequel.

DD Dark Arisen. After finishig 2 I decided to go back for a replay. Had to remind myself a few times it started as a PS3 game when it comes to visuals. It's a lot harder than I remember, or I've just got worse, as checking I have thegrophy for finishing on hard. Might go for the plat as only 3 trophies left, which are unfortunately tine consuming since it's a fresh playthrough.
