I'll be surprised if I ever buy an EA game, they're laughably shit for being one of the biggest so I really cgafcwhat happens to them. They're everything that's wrong with the industry.

The only real asset EA has left are Dice who they've driven into the ground with the same bullshit alpha releases and will likely wind up on the chopping block with everything else they've wrung dry.

Respawn are a bigger asset than dice nowadays, they also have the sports franchises which print them money every year.

The Sims and Madden are still two of the most valuable IPs in gaming, and even without the FIFA partnership the football franchise will still be hugely popular. There’s a lot of value in just those three.

Wouldn’t underestimate the potential value of some of their older IPs as well - Medal of Honour, Need for Speed, Command and Conquer, Populous etc. While the temptation is to milk them for subpar mobile shite, they would all benefit from huge goodwill if a dev gave them some proper love and rebooted them as top quality modern games. Or equally they’re probably still very valuable as mobile shite.

They are having a go with need for speed, putting the old driveclub studio with criterion for the one out later this year.
It's been so long since a good one though as they are so out of touch with what their audience wants

It doesn’t really matter how many times you fuck up a beloved franchise as long as you eventually get it right again. In fact the more you fuck it up, the greater the goodwill when you get it right again. I’ve always thought the origin of their success was the yellow bit on their mega drive carts. They need to recreate that digitally somehow.

My favourite was most wanted 2 on the 360, I bet it hasn't aged brilliantly though.

Hot Pursuit aged wonderfully in fairness. All of the criterion ones were solid, and I wouldn't say no to HD remasters of MW1/2. Especially if I eventually get them free with game pass.

NFS:U2 was my favourite. They've tried various ways to recreate it but just haven't been able to.

My pinnacle was HP2 on the PS2. Haven’t been able to properly get into an NFS game since, including Criterion’s HP.
Actually, I lie. I played MW to death on the Vita, though the magic was largely gone.

They've also got Codemasters and the Dirt rally games. Though I imagine they're going to destroy them.

Most Wanted was perfect on the Vita.
Would be a massive shame about Dirt Rally. Why?

Just EA doing EA things and ruining dev studios before shuttering them.

Looks like they are already butchering the F1 series with their useless fucking tat, so fair to say the rest of Codies' stuff is done for.

Yeah, Bioware is by far the most important EA studio to me. Sorry Respawn, not sorry to Dice. Also Andromeda was goooooooooooooood ...... . . . .

I honestly thought EA axed Bioware years ago. Certainly seemed like it, they've released nothing in recent times and their last few games were sale fodder at best.
