Ahh did it come out at the same time, I thought it was a coming on the S later, my mistake. The xbox versions came out together but well after the ps version. They're apparently having technical issues with the xbox version which is obvs code for we can't get this running well on the S. |

The tiger has pushed my poop in more times than I can count.
The thing I’m actually struggling with more than anything else is running out of mana.

I found on harder bosses that it's best to save all mana usage for later In the fight as their move sets get harder to deal with. Also make you concentrate on dodging a little more.
You getting close to getting him derbs?

I can get him down to about a 6th of his hp left. Just need to execute the last bit.
He has some awkward attack pauses that get me most times through.

Currently stuck on one as well. Got his first phase to a T but the second phase and third ruin me.

Really enjoyed my first hour with it last night, the only issue I have is shimmering vegetation and leaves in the trees at times.
Got to big head with pins and dies a couple of times and will try again later, saw someone with a flaming weapon near him thru a gate or something, want brave enough for that.

Think I got most of chapter 2 done today, stuck on one boss near the end of it. The wind chap. It's such a cracking game, easily one of my favourite games of it's type. Surprised the thread isn't busier as it's one of the best releases in ages. Special shout out to the headless guitar guy, he knows how to play. Started chapter 2 last night, played for way too long, great stuff. And yes, Headless rocks! |

Yeah I played pretty much all day yesterday, chapter 2 is huge. The main roadblocks were Tony the tiger and yellow wind chap. The rest of them weren't too bad at all.
There is also an important NPC with a quest chain in chapter 2 that you can easily miss, so make sure you have a decent scout about (or Google) if you get to the end and haven't found him.

Got a lot of chapter 3 done today, not had any major roadblocks since the last one of chapter 2. There was a lady that gave me a few kickings but it was only about 5 tries I think.
There are so many talents in this game it's crazy, the build diversity must be massive. Each spell has its own upgrade tree 😂
Oh and don't forget to upgrade your healing gourd when you can as well. Maybe save the upgrades for a bit as there are different ones you can get of those too with bonus effects. I was already too invested into the first one to be able to switch mine.

It's actually useful in some boss fights to dodge attacks as well. Looks amazing when you pull it off too

Well old pin head, flaming weapon guy (very near him pin head) and Wolfy down. Wolfy was a lot easier than the pin head as well.
Just met Gourd man and had to switch off.
Really enjoying it so far, hope it doesn’t get too difficult later though.

I've not really got on with Pole stance, but I am enjoying thrust stance at the moment - there's a lovely move where you attack, backstep, and then go into a multi-thrust attack. Next upgrade from that lets you backstep out of it, giving you a potentially infinite combo.

Apparently thrust stance is the best, I don't even have it unlocked.
It gets harder Gaz but only a few bosses are what I would call hard and they are nothing on Elden rings hardest

Top tip, when you defeat a chapter boss you get a relic which has an ability you can awaken. Don't be like me and get to the end of chapter 3 before realising you can do it as they are quite decent.

I beat the tiger last night, and another 4 or 5 bosses in the area. Next up is the secret location tiger boss.
I'm really enjoying every aspect of this, and I'm constantly looking forward to playing it.

Yeah same here, I've put in so many hours already and I've not even finished chapter 3 yet which is somehow bigger than 2 Frog you seem to like a lot of what I like, will I enjoy this (there is a challenge for you) is the combat very hard/too hard for a 50+ year old git who is mostly shite at games and plays them on "story mode" ...it is all about the journey! whenever possible. I thinking on PS5  |

It's considerably easier than a souls game apart from the chapter end bosses and the odd exception. It's a bit harder than rise of the ronin was on easy to give you a relatable picture.
The journey is stunning though, we don't get many games of this quality.

I'm finding this quite brilliant now, playing balanced mode on PS5.
After that initial roadblock on chapter 1, I've kinda got good and powered through. Now enjoying act 2 and learning the finer points of combat.
Really loving the spirit move that big head gave me, I've leveled that up a bit.
This year we've had Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade, which I thought were pretty and damn good respectively.
This really tops them.

There are better spirit attacks than the headbutt but his boost to defence is really nice to have. The one that poisons is quite useful for elusive enemies as well as they tick down while you chase them.

I love the Wight spirit, it's literally my favourite move in the game.
Chapter 1 is good, but chapter 2 is fantastic.
