Well after seeing the DF review of the Ps5 version, I’ll be getting the PC version and it’s obvious why there’s no Series S version as of it yet.
Due to the Xbox Series version parity, I can’t see it being out for a long time.

So for those who haven't got it on ps5 or seen the video: Quality mode is uncapped and goes between 31-35fps Balance mode is 45fps?! Has less lag than Performance mode?! Performance mode is generally 60 but uses frame generation which is mind boggling so it's apparently laggy as hell. VRR doesn't work on this game. There is no 120hz supportfor 40fps to be an option I think I'll be waiting until they sort this out. |

I haven’t seen much of this game this week but watched the intro fight and cut scenes. Very cool but is that really the main characters voice? What the hell were they thinking, I can’t think of a worse sounding main character.

Finished chapter 1 last night, all bosses down. I am learning that I'm just not very good at a lot of this, mostly the dodge timing.
Respecced my build, built new armour and a new staff, and it actually feels very different to how I had it set up originally. I'm a very fast attack focused monkey.

You have enough stamina that you can spam roll to doge attacks, it's a lot more forgiving than a souls game. If you chain 3 he even does a different roll at the end so it's by design.

Well I managed to get it for £42.40 from a place called Gameseal (never heard of them but did Trust pilot search and all was good) using code SEAL5AKS Got the code instantly l, just got to wait 11 hours because of my shite broadband. My son won’t be happy though, as Steam throttles my connection.

What PC’s do people have?
I’ve got a AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with RTX 3060 Ti (8 GB GDDR6) that I connect to my 4k Tv but only is 60hz.
The benchmark tool was a good indicator of what I can do but it wasn’t that optimised was it?
I’m not FPS man so will be happy with a consistent 40-60 fps with some nice ray tracing.
Nvidia have released some drivers for it as well haven’t they?

Got the mother fucker finally. Took about 12 goes, what a fight that is.
To answer pc question.
I have a 3090 and a 5800x and it run at about 100fps on recommended settings at 1440p.

Think I got most of chapter 2 done today, stuck on one boss near the end of it. The wind chap.
It's such a cracking game, easily one of my favourite games of it's type. Surprised the thread isn't busier as it's one of the best releases in ages.
Special shout out to the headless guitar guy, he knows how to play.

I'm waiting for them to fix stuff on the console versions tbh. I don't have the luxury of the PC version which is obviously where where they're most comfortable in development terms.

Is the ps version not running well? I posted it up a bit in the thread. It's just weird stuff like the 60fps mode using frame gen to achieve 60fps which is...a choice. And the other two modes also having no 30 fps cap which I really hate or the baffling decision for one to run at 45fps. It's obvious they're not very comfortable with consoles. |

Yeah that's what I'm hoping it should be possible because the only difference between the 3 modes is resolution. I would imagine the ps5 would be best suited as the game is purely gpu limited. |

Regardless of the numbers, it feels responsive and snappy from what I’ve played (Balanced). I’m enjoying it a lot.
Somewhere in chapter 2, reached a stone boss before I had to shut it down for a bit. Missed the tiger dude so I’ll have a search for him later.

Bloody hell, after downloading for 12 hours and pressing the launch button - my sons playing BeamNG.drive on his Steam deck.
We use the same account, is there a way of being able to play different games at the same time?

It's a shame the Xbox version isn't available yet, the balanced mode (assuming for a second it performs similarly) on Series X with the system level LFC and lower VRR bounds would be an ideal way to play it, or at least as ideal as you can get given the current shitshow.
Yet another eastern developed action RPG with non existent frame rate caps (or broken ones) and all over the shop performance, it's utterly baffling, again.
