Tried restarting the game fully? (some bugs I've found persist through reloads until you do this) Or fast travel somewhere else/sleep for a couple of days and then come back to it. Or just shoot them all again. My next idea was to take off and come back in, yeah. |

Love it when I’m trying to give a companion 10 ammo for the gun I gave them and I have 3000 ammo and I have to slowly scroll the slider down to 10

Oh, i had a major moment of stupidity last earlier. Had some contraband, but couldn't understand why i had 0% chance of getting away with the scan. Ended up having to pay a 45k bounty to crimson fleet to offload it there, only to then realise i had no chance to avoid the scan BECAUSE I HADN'T PUT IT IN THE HOLD.
It was in my misc. Sigh.

The interface is woeful- it’s a game about looting, filling and selling from your inventory and it’s so clunky to move through, sort or compare within the thing. You need this: www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/773So consensus these days? Download by hand or use Nexus's mod manager? Or some other mod manager? Not got my hands dirty doing this since Skyrim. |

Bloody hell the Ryujin quest line just keeps on going! It's mostly cracking stuff apart from one dud mission, though (definitely put a point into stealth before you start it!) I felt like I'd totally fucked it all by making Imogene a scapegoat and plotting against Masako, but managed to swing the board around to supporting Masako unanimously and put in a good word for Imogene at the end. Seems like a handy new ability (love that it turns up in conversation trees too) I'm only just getting around to going back to the starting planet to check on Barrett 27 hours in. |

I've got it on pc gamepass Is it a game changer? Got a link to install etc? Any other worthwhile ones in your experience? Piss easy to setup following the instructions. Create 2 new lines in an ini file or use BethIni to create it for you. Copy the Interface folder from the zip. Done. I've undone it all though so I can use nexusmods vortex thing to handle it all and others going forward and not fuck up my install folder |

Lots of people are CPU bound so it has no appreciable difference in performance. The DLSS 3 bit does but that's for 40 series cards. What you will get is a better visual outout than FSR.
I added it for DLAA. Looks cleaner with no shimmering/flickering in the distance

Stealth seems to be broken for me:
- The meter can say I'm hidden and be fully white but npc's will still detect my thievery no matter what in certain areas
- Enemies will detect me even when hidden from a mile away, but on the flip side I'll still do sneak damage to them even as they're spraying me with bullets
Stealth is the one mechanic that's always worked rather well in previous Bethesda games but I'm finding I can't trust it.

They don't need UI designers, they need to hire some people who actually play games. The problem that their previous games had with UI, was that they seemed to prioritise form over function. The Skyrim menus had this sleek, cool, minimalist interface, that was a complete ballache to use once you picked up enough stuff. Choosing your skills via constellations was also cool, but navigating to each node is more difficult when they're not in a straight line. The Pip Boy is the worst example. It's pretty cool that everything is in this green font, and that the menus are literally contained within a thing on your wrist. But actually using it is a pain, and that's not even mentioning the godawful map system. |

I love the idea of the pipboy and that it animates to use the control dial correctly to select different menu items but it's way too cramped to be useful.
They have a separate overlay for item transfer which is what all the mods have upgraded/expanded to remove the pipboy from use.
Although mods look to have added a radial wheel now with lists that come off it. I hate radial wheels on pc. Let me assign it to a key FFS.
