Oh man, I had some pirate lego, but I always wanted the original Lego Black Seas Barracuda pirate ship. I saw it on eBay about 4 years ago, complete, boxed, but with no instructions for £150. Kicking myself for not buying it now, but I was unemployed at the time. I think everyone's had a eBay regret. I wanted this set, it was boxed with all pieces intact, but it was November time and I had spent up for Xmas so no spare cash. This was a good 12 years ago now but I do ponder it every now and then. I have that. Bought it brand new on clearance a couple of years after it was current. Cleared out my pocket money but it was a bargain. If you're wondering, yes it's really good.

Apparently EG have received a review copy an hour after they posted that article. Not at all suspect from Bethesda. A cynical person would say this was done to make sure those places won't affect the first week metacritic scores. It's because that Edwin cunt came back from holiday and Beth don't want him to wank on about something irrelevant to the game for 1,000 words before giving it a 2.

Lego is up there with wrestling as things I don't get adults being into I get Lego, it's basically a jigsaw, easy to zone out while you focus on it. The horrors of the world don't apply for a while.

Lego is up there with wrestling as things I don't get adults being into I know, right? Who could afford to when there’s games and transformers.

I don't get it either. But that's more to do with my brain not really getting the appeal of Lego and building things, rather than me thinking it's childish or whatever. Feel the same about Minecraft.

Yeah, I’m just intrinsically not a builder. Both with Lego and Minecraft, all I manage to build are tall walls.

Hmm. I've got one of those "please come back to gamepass, $3 for 3 months!" emails. I probably wouldn't mind playing this basically for free, even if I end up not liking it.

Imterestingly, the download option wouldn't appear for me on the desktop version of Steam when others reported it was available, but when I looked at the Steam app on my phone, the Remote Download button was there, and it triggered the preload on my desktop immediately.

Star Bird was the boss, can't get a picture up at work That also looks very familiar. I don't think I had it, but I think my mate who had all the star wars toys had it.
Yes! Had and played with this to death, front module was detachable. It was also a guitar for miming along to Daytripper.

www.eurogamer.net/eurogamer-and-bethesda-starfieldInteresting bit there about the UK not really receiving review copies also the admission that DF were given a copy but were explicitly told NOT to share it with EG. Typical Bethesda and their review policies, they're so fucking shitty at times. Reckon that's down to EGs review system 4/5 = 80% EG are definitely going to give it 4/5 Not sure if anyone visits VGC but they are UK based, reviews are out of 5 and they got a review copy. They do tend to skew a little more on the positive side when reviewing stuff though.

Have EG bought back numbers then? I thought no one gave a shit about their reviews because they don't effect metacritic.

They brought back numbers, but now it seems they're the wrong kind of numbers since they give nearly everything 80%.

Up until this thread I didn’t realise anyone gave a shit about metacritic any more. I thought that died a death around 2010 when everyone seemed to agree review scores were a load of old toss.
The wheel of nerd rage keeps turning.

I think I was wrong about the game pass discount thing (it's closer to $11 a month), so I think I'll just keep playing BG3 and maybe get this later.
I'm sure you're all very interested in that, I'll keep you updated.

It is. PC folks just really love Steam. Eh it's a balance. If there's only the odd game 8 quid a month or whatever it is doesn't end up good value. If it's an actually good game I may want to play again a few years from now that applies double.
