Note how the wording can be interpreted as the number of different bugs, not the number of occurrences That is the way it’s intended. You wouldn’t count the number of occurrences of bugs in a game.

The controller is nice. Based on my experience of the elite controllers I wish it had plastic grips and not rubber, but as special editions go, it's pretty good.

the video by Liam on RPS actually made me interested in the game. Might get it on Xmas sale. www.rockpapershotgun.com/the-12-biggest-highlights-from-the-starfield-directthe idea of building your ship (i hope i can put a grand piano in the bridge) getting crew and exploring the universe works for me really well. even if it does not click it does look like a solid 20 bucks game now?

"If there's one thing we can be sure of, it's that Starfield will have a great story. Bethesda are incredible storytellers and I don't think Starfield is going to be any different in that regard."
An actual human who has presumably played other Bethesda games said this. With a straight face.

the idea of building your ship (i hope i can put a grand piano in the bridge) getting crew and exploring the universe works for me really well. Precisely. I was hoping your outposts, ships, and crew all had a significant purpose, and all had a bearing on one another, and the Starfield Direct basically confirmed all this. For me, the one key piece of information mentioned is that the quality of your ship dictates how far you can travel into the galaxy. That, right there, is a compelling game hook, and exactly what I was hoping for.

As somebody who rarely gives a fuck about specials, collectables and tat that go alongside a game I'm surprisingly drawn to that controller.

Yeah, I’m probably getting the controller as well. Maybe the headset, as I don’t actually have one for Xbox. Though I do find its existence silly since this is a single player game.

Honestly, I'm more interested in what the one marked "CAPCOM" does.

Starfield X Pragmata crossover???
The video doesn’t tease that, to be clear. But it seems the most aesthetically similar that could justify a cross promotion.

If the button is following NASA’s standards, it could just mean Capsule Communication. A button for communicating with an Astronaut outside of their ship/station or on Earth.
/Boring answer.

On the controller: Cons: The gold d-pad looks really tacky. Pros: It has 'grip here' markings so the days of me accidentally holding my controller wrongly may be over.

It has a RNG button. Wonder if it adds more or turns it off. Could be the key to getting the good loot.

Maybe markings are more necessary than I thought.
PS/ That's the most stupid gun I've ever seen.

Have to say, I am also oddly drawn to the controller. I am someone else who has never bought a 'special edition' controller but there is something about this one that grabs me.

Why have that handle on a gun if you're just going to grab the frame..
I think Bing ai could, and has, come up with a better designed sci Fi weapon

I think Bing ai could, and has, come up with a better designed sci Fi weapon It's not even grabbing the frame, the hand is supposed to be on the foregrip but it's clipping through the frame instead. I saw this posted on a games site yesterday lambasting classic Bethesda bugs in a promo shot. I have to admit I didn't see it at all until I read further in the article.

In Todd's defence, Bethesda bug compilations are some of the funniest videos you'll ever see in your life and 'anything can happen' really encompasses this design philosophy.

A character might continue a conversation in another room, without you. An enemy may kill an integral character mid-conversation. Dead bodies may try conversing with you. Something unexpected may fall from the sky killing you without warning. Your body might stretch and distort over a vast landscape because at some point you managed to get your foot stuck under a small rock. You may fall through the map due to an unexpected error with the environment loading in. Your ship may disappear, leaving you completely stranded on the planet you’ve landed on.
The possibilities are endless.

What does the NASA standard Rage Quit button do? Sounds more like a SpaceX thing than NASA.

I'm not sure if this game will work well. The more realistic the graphics become, the more jarring the Bethesda jank factor will be. Also, the features that go beyond their usual game, like the procedural planets and resource harvesting etc. looks pretty uninspired.
Still, the ship builder alone will probably make me play this game.

What does the NASA standard Rage Quit button do? They stopped installing them in early 1986.
